You forget they are paid....subsidised....by the tv companies making the shows
And not forgetting the advantage of working with attractive, young tv producers... Allegedly

Don't remember the CRX one, which series was that?
S4E04, the same episode as the Mini pickup.
Yep, it was a 'side' job that PC thought might be an easy flip. When he saw it he realised that he couldn't really make much money out of it as the condition was so good. So what did he do to get the £2k-3k profit...?

Painted the calipers. That was it.

And then some guy turned up to buy it for a company he has in Singapore or somewhere where customers want retro cars to drive.
So this guy didn't see it advertised at the lower price then?

Thanks for posting that link. I hadn't seen that episode before. They did a good job with the Mini Pick Up.

Mathewsons got more than double that for a much later car last week [on tv ] and didn't have to do any sprucing [bodging] up .

I don't know how many online bidders there were, but I thought the NEC was quite quiet yesterday.

from me , currently sitting on a drive under a half car cover , blocked in by a skip whilst the house behind has a roof and refurb.

Could it be he does not know that much about cars? Keeps going on about originality then proceeds to make horrendous changes to “improve” the car

There’s lots of things about him I dislike. He really does believe his own press.

Drew is a bellend, but the show can be quite good in spite of his presence. Some of the cars turn out very nicely, usually the ones Paul is in charge of.

The trailer for this shows a FIAT Spyder painted a rather lurid minty green or mauve colour ,then there's a view of same car in red .
Wonder if Drew wanted to paint it black before sensible guy tells him to paint it red ?

Did they paint the bonnet matt black Abarth rally style ?

I have to say I think he got the MGC GT just right.
Mini Aston Martin in that Apple green and set off with the pale green upholstery. Thank goodness Paul stuck out for the chrome wires.
L J K Setright always rated the GT body shape and I tend to agree.

CWW look terrible....

Would have looked better on a set of these, with appropriate suspension setup.

Oh No........
Each to their own but might agree if it was a D-type.
