Following the comments on here, tried It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia - was looking forward to 13 series of something good.

Unfortunately, it's not for me. Gave it a couple of episodes, but didn't find it funny and started doing other stuff while it was on, so gave up.

Similar here, I've watched all of season 1 and half of season 2, and it can be amusing but it doesn't feel like anything special.

What are we missing? Does it really pick up in later seasons, or if I'm not into it by now shall I move on to something else.

Russian doll, interesting.
Saw it has good reviews, I must be missing something as my wife and I watched episode one and neither of us could be bothered to put episode two on afterwards.
Watched E1 on Friday and really enjoyed it.

Guess we’re all different.
I’m on episode six. Really enjoying it. Definitely my sort of woman. Me.
Binged another 4 yesterday - it’s getting very interesting! Loving it and she is awesome!

Found this while perusing Reddit. 100 best Netflix originals. Reddit being very US focussed some of them may not be available but a quick san confirms I’ve seen most of them or have seen the titles while browsing

If you haven't got into it by the end of season 2 then it's probably not for you.

But I would recommend anyone to watch the whole of season 1 and 2 before dropping it.

Watched Velvet Buzzsaw last night.

Was a little slow paced, but it was more of a dark comedy than a horror/mystery/thriller whatever it has been marketed as. My other half and I loved it, her son didn't seem to care for it.

Another fan here (The series, not Sunderland). As a bit of a footy mad person, I found it a great watch. The 'behind the scenes' nature of it, exposing all sorts of people, processes and situations that you can directly relate to at your club were also brilliant.

A couple of interesting situations as well that I was totally unaware of were the guy on 70k a week that wanted to play but didn't want to give up his contract, the drink driver, the sacking of multiple managers, the CEOs daily grind... all very fascinating.
I found the CEO's watch collection pretty interesting!

Has anyone here watched Wild Wild Country? Been recommended to me. Looks very, very strange. Kind of thing that if it wasn't a documentary you wouldn't believe it. Got a 14 hour flight on Friday and was thinking of downloading the series but will be mightily pissed off if it's crap, and I've seen most of what's decent on the IFE system.

There's a few in that list that aren't "Netflix Originals" or does that simply mean only being shown on Netflix at the moment?

Perhaps. I think you're right in that it's exclusive to Netflix having the right to show.

Still, might be useful for those struggling to find something to eatch.

I watched the Ted Bundy tapes. I thought it did a good job of showing him up as a duplicitous psychopath who wasn't nearly as clever as he thought he was.

Sex Education.

Really like this, sat with the wife watching it and we soon rattled through a few episodes. First episode a little slow I guess, but the characters were all really likeable, Eric was like Andi Peters on steroids lol!

Funny in places, but some oddly serious parts as you get further in.

Agree on the setting, Wales is lovely, 80's clothes, iPads, American look....weird, but works.

Loved this bit

"I've been wking all night, I ate four packets of crumpets and I think my clit might drop off" laugh worst thing is, that girl looks almost idenitcal to my son's girlfriend only a few years older! yikes
I've been binging on it! Wasn't sure about it after about 80% through E1 and then it really clicked. Love it and that quote above - hilarious!
It's wonderful. Really well written with rounded characters. Has the occasional sex scene which makes it awkward to watch on the commute...

I watched this yesterday, it was so strange! Totally agree about the parents, I understand things were a bit different back then and people more naive than these days, but ffs!

We were the same as wjb, watched the first one but didn't bother with a second (we usually watch at least 2 episodes of anything new back to back to get going).

Looks like it's a bit of a Marmite programme.

Me too, I did not expect that! Felt sorry for the guy when he was getting emotional about it, but wtf was he thinking at the time? Why would someone agree to do that? hurl

Netflix Originals is a bit of a misnomer. It can mean a variety of things, including that they have the exclusive distribution rights in that territory.
