Another Sky Price Increase
Discussion
I've just joined the haggling battle. Best I was offered on first asking was:
Entertainment
Boxsets
Sky F1 HD (currently got it as part of legacy HD package)
£46.50 a month and £20 up front for the 1TB Sky Q box, or £199 for the 2TB box.
So basically for an extra £2.50 a month and an up front cost I would get Sky Q instead of Sky + HD.
My service cancels this time next month unless they can offer something better.

If you do let your subscription lapse then you likely won't get the HD Pack and F1 back.Entertainment

That's not an issue now that Sky have separated the F1 channel from Sky Sports.rscott said:

Annoying that I cannot qualify as a new customer in any way. Just found out that through a work discount scheme I can get Sky Q 1TB box for £10 and every TV channel for £45 a month, but only if I'm a new customer.
Usually need to have not been a for 12 months to qualify for new deals.I wouldn't get the 1TB box anyway - the 2TB is much more than just a bigger drive (UHD, more simultaneous recordings, etc)

Cancel the service and sign up in a partner's name?
This^^ and use your partners maiden name if you are married as it'll recognise the surname. I've done this recently and it was the man at Sky that told me to use my wifes maiden name as the system wouldn't recognise her as a new customer even though she wasn't on the original contract in any way
