At first I wasnt sure I would enjoy Billions now that Axe has gone, how wrong was I !! :-) Im really enjoying it and feel that this Prince character is far more deeper / sneaky that Axe. This week's episode was tremendous. Ive gone off the character Chuck as Im starting to feel he's just as manipulative as the billionaires, where they have money he has the law / legal system / favours. Billions is like that, you flip flop back on who you side with :-)
Shame it's the latest series

Season 7 has been given the green light. Shame it's the latest series
This show has legs again for me. The early eps felt like a wake but the corpse has definitely been revived. Writers have still got it, even if they’ve been lazy for a while, the background simmering bubbled up nicely by the end. Wags has a place again phew but they need to find something for Wendy, she’s got nothing of interest to do currently. Looking forward to S7, which I didn’t think I would be bothering with…
Trying not to spoil….I have enjoyed season 6, but thought the last episode was a bit damp! Could not work out how Chuck could do what he did after being sacked!
Wondering if we will see Axe again as they keep referring to him. Also, there is too much referring to something that happened in some movie. Getting on my nerves a bit!
But I agree, looking forward to Season 7!

Oh yes, the constant pop references have got so frequent this series it really really grates. Virtually every sentence has a "like so-and-so doing something" insert in it, none of which means anything at all for anyone not from the US. I’m also wondering if Axe will return at some point and join forces with the obvious party.Wondering if we will see Axe again as they keep referring to him. We gave up after S6E3, might give it another try then if it improves in the latter part of the series.

If I didn't get most of the references, and work in financial services, then I probably wouldn't bother watching it any more. The most recent one is Greg Stillson, a character from the film The Dead Zone. The reference is a good one but it's a relatively obscure film nearly 40 years old.
If I used references like that at work, rather than just clearly saying what I mean, then people would soon call me out on it. It's just another way of perpetuating the old boys club. Maybe that's what the script writers want to get across but I doubt it. More likely they simply do it for their own amusement.
The breakfast scene with Chuck and Prince in the previous series was even worse. Another obscure film reference which seemed out of context with the plot. Great film though (Big Night).
In spite of all that, I continue to enjoy the series.

What happened to Mike Prince's other business, and why doesn't he ever go there and see the other people who work for him?
And a dozen or so further questions about why this makes no sense and you can't just replace the lead character in a show and expect it to not be nonsense.
