Yellowstone. Trailer which is effectively an advert. It consists of vaguely menacing American people talking in a vaguely menacing manner. No idea what it's about though.

Adverts telling the likes of me to save water by turning the tap off when brushing my teeth, and reducing the setting of the thermostat on my central heating, while I’m still waiting for an ad to ask rich people not to fill their swimming pools and heat them warmer than my front room.

That's cos they are not watching TV, and instead in the pool after flying back from a 5 weeks flying around Europe trip on the private jet.

The latest Get yerself a Smart Meter advert with a guy from I think The Fast Show in character
Just F off
The whole advertising campaign behind these things has IMO been rather dubious with its claims
Personally any actor/ celebrity who has fronted one of these campaigns has gone down in my estimation.

smart meters have been proven to not make that much difference to any energy saving as it requires the customer to actually do something about it, ie turn off lights - but you dont need a smart meter to know if you switch thing off, you dont use electricity.

but the government put a ton of money into smart meters and making energy giants peddle them to their customers, in the hope of one day in the future, you can just scroll through all the energy providers of the day and select the lowest tarriff for you, or, indeed a better options, the smart meter does it for you,
but the energy giants didnt like this idea, and so watered down everything proposed to the smart meters you have now, plus the energy crisis put paid to any choice we might have.
and of course, why would private energy companies ever want you to spend less with them!

a better idea would be to have smart plugs perhaps, fitted to any electrical device consumer over a certain amount, it could have an indicator of how much is being used, and/or, we can turn it off/on using our mobiles. we could see how much is uses when not "on" also. and of course, if we go out, we could turn off all our devices using our phone, and turn them on again when we get home.

I don't hate it but the JML advert they have for Mighty Sight glasses I find really funny.

Not only does it make you look like a member of electronic band Orbital the special effects they do on it to show the 160x zoom is quality.

That Sure deodorant ad. Every sodding break. I'll rub cowcrap under my pits before I buy Sure now.
Is that the one with some really fat bird doing some form of dance / exercise move, to demonstrate how much she sweats ? its bloody awful. I could throw up when i see her cavorting around with other equally fat birds.

I think that is the latest offering.

The one I meant is with a woman drummer, some old git doing pull-ups and what looks like a fat teen skateboarding.

There seems to be a push to drop the svelte models from ads and feature more, er, rounded folk. All part of the drive for diversity I suppose.

Currently when I'm listening to a youtube playlist, theres a whole series of painfully patronising google adverts before each video - a bloke and a woman asking their google smartphone ridiculous "diversity" questions in settings like a building site or a gym. Just fk off!

Confused Dot Com is one I have a loathing for. The one with the woman getting a text from her friend about her dead dog then shouting about auto correct.

Their latest ads with the weird "inside the mind of the confused person" are just so fking weird. The dilemmas are just bizarre, must have been a lot of drugs done by whoever came up with that one.

Now now that sort of thinking will never do.
You should try to remember that "body positive" is not the same as being obese

The woman on the guitar with the Brian Jones haircut
She portrays sheer boredom brilliantly
But I do confess to always looking to see if the car driving off is a fresh clip or if its been photoshopped on. I'm looking for the spring of the car as it moves off

A "Citroen sponsors" bookend on GB News, maybe other channels too, advertising a Citroen hybrid while swimming in popcorn.

I don't get the link, the point or the joke, if it is one.

If they're the same ones that are used as the sponsor stings for evenings on Dave, then i think the, exceptionally lame, joke is meant to be that after plugging in both the car, and the randomly placed popcorn machine, he turned the popcorn machine on by accident instead of the car charger rolleyes

And i agree, those stings are bloody annoying.
