Amazon Prime Video, what gems have you found? (NO SPOILERS)
Discussion
It's a shame that many can't get on with subtitles. I watch lots of foreign stuff and it's usually superior to the tile after tile of general dross on offer. Deaths Game is just one amongst thousands. The big problem with Prime is that the UI and search is so utterly s
t that these things are often only found by accident or the people also watched rabbit hole.

With the exception of Das Boot I've never got on with subtitles unless they are on for very short periods of time in a predominantly English speaking production. I was looking forward to Griselda but gave up due the prominence of subtitles. It's odd how they affect people differently ![](/inc/images/censored.gif)

Just started watching Mr. & Mrs. Smith which is a spin off of the Pitt/Jolie 2004 move which itself was a spinoff of the Scott Bskula/ Mario Bello tv series of the 90s.
Basically two people masquerading as a married couple whilst working for a government security agency.
Anyone else started this?
Streaming from today. 8 episodes.
So is it any good?Basically two people masquerading as a married couple whilst working for a government security agency.

At the moment it's a 5/10 at best.
This looked interesting, having seen the 1st two episodes dropped in the Jan 26th
I watched the first episode, but had to re-watch it again as some of the dialogue was so quiet. I then realised the remaining 4 episodes would be released on a weekly basis, so saving it for a binge viewing.
Episode one was good and it certainly seems to have legs, with an interesting interwoven premise.
Having lived in Hong Kong for a long period, there is a lot to recognise both in terms of location/era and the type of people who live in that bubble.

Is it a series without a title?!

On the final episode of Death’s Game - sitting with tears in my eyes… Great bit of telly!
I have just watched episode 4 and what an exceptional episode it is. It had all my emotions raging from start to finish, from anger to sadness and it was very well done. Looking forward to the final episode. The last episode was emotional given who his last life was with but the ending disappointed me. To give him a 2nd chance at life just didnt seem to fit with the story. Episode 4 could have/would have been a better ending for me. To kill his girlfriend so early on with the bloke who's body he inherited would have been a lovely ending. He could have lived his inherited life with her.
I am a bit surprised at the lack of promotion/marketing/publicity the show has received when you look at how Squid Game exploded in popularity for Netflix. This show was much, much better than Squid Game, IMO.
Also to add, there is a wonderful message in this show for anybody who is, or knows anybody, suicidal, about the futility of this way out to escape the pains of life as the pain just passes to loved ones left behind.
Hope it has an impact

A suicide ruins the rest of the lives of those who loved them. IMV it is the most horribly selfish and mean act, regardless of the pain a person is in. Sorry, wrong thread but just had to say it.

I don't think it is selfish, if doing something for yourself has nothing to do with other people. I don't like the way the word selfish is often used to guilt someone into doing what other people want.popeyewhite said:

That’s a very black and white statement. My dad will very likely die this year and his death will be difficult, painful and undignified. If there was an assisted suicide route he could take, I would be very happy for him to take it. Sorry, wrong thread but just had to say it.
Even where someone isn’t staring down the barrel of imminent death anyway, I’m not sure people who take their own lives are often in the right mental state to fully and rationally consider the consequences of their actions.

Sorry to hear about your Dad, my heartfelt sympathies. Assisted suicide is not the context of my comment though. No suicide-planners I've listened to have been mentally ill, but of course that does not mean there aren't any. The fact is though the devastation caused to the ones that loved them ruins lives. I think I've derailed the thread enough now... .Even where someone isn’t staring down the barrel of imminent death anyway, I’m not sure people who take their own lives are often in the right mental state to fully and rationally consider the consequences of their actions.
Kid 90. Produced by Leonardo Dicaprio. Put together through hundreds of hours of personal camcorder footage by Soleil Frye.
Nostalgic and sad viewing for someone like myself who grew up through the 1990s. Makes you realise how many famous faces of that time barely made it to the early noughties due to drugs and suicide.
