Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
What a bizarre movie. No really plot to speak of, mostly people driving around in cars in the sun, a bat-st insane last 30 minutes, a wasted Margot Robbie, looks very nice but it’s kind of dull unless you’re a fan of sixties Hollywood. Also carries less significance if you’re not aware of a particular historical event in Hollywood.
Maybe it’s an age thing but I didn’t get it.
For it to work you need to know the history, that way the build up really works otherwise the suspense element is lostWhat a bizarre movie. The Autopsy of Jane Doe - a father/son coroner team take delivery of a young woman's body, and spooky stuff start occurring. Creepy and claustrophobic horror that manages to get a lot of tension just from lingering shot's of a dead body. Apparently most scenes were done with a real actress, which did make me think how hard it must have been to literally not act at all.

Hunt for the Wilderpeople is on Film 4 at 9pm tonight. Very funny Kiwi comedy with Sam Neill & the kid who also turned up in Deadpool 2.
On record. If it's crap I'll blame you ! Still your fault if it's crap tho, sure it won't be......

As an aside, Mitchell & Webb's "By Vectron" always amuses me:

I knew the history, it's just as dull and pointless even with that knowledge.popeyewhite said:

Presumably you watched the entire movie in order to reach that conclusion?
Twice.Read up about it afterwards and watched a few original clips on YouTube about the reporting and the case generally which was very much eye-opening and worthwhile.
We watched it on Amazon Prime this evening and my wife and I enjoyed it even more, bloody excellent!
9 Red Apple’s/10 Cans of dog food
Obviously anyone who didn’t lime it doesn’t know what they’re talking about.................
Knives Out - Thoroughly (and unexpectedly) enjoyed this - perfect for a New Years Day after getting in at 6.00am in the morning from a long night out. Still couldn't help thinking "what's Bond doing in this?" at times, though.
Score: Only 1 fake knife in the pack of ten.
Ad Astra - as along as a spaceflight to Neptune if felt. Kept watching in the hope it would go somewhere, but it was, frankly, boring. I felt like it tried at times to have the '2001 - A Space Odyssey/Blade Runner' cinematic experience - and at times some of the scenes were good, but the film failed to deliver. No real explanation of the attempted kidnapping on the moon (one of the few bits of adrenaline-fuel in the movie), and in the end I was just waiting for it to finish.
Score: 4/8 planets (Pluto isn't a planet).
