The Beiderbecke Affair on ITVX
Great story lines, excellent music with James Bolam and Barbara Flynn
Excellent spot. I loved this first time round, so will look forward to revisiting.

Dexter - I’ve tried a few times to get into it but never did. This time it grabbed me and I’m doing several episodes a day!!
I've recently got a load of box sets of this, so I'll be giving it a go once I've finished the one I'm on now.
Ohhh, I love Dexter. Over the years I've watched the whole thing about 2-3 times I think.

Just started watching Londons Burning on UKTvPlay. Prime time Sunday night viewing back in the 80’s/90’s. About 14 series to get through.

The Avengers is on repeat on two different Freeview channels at the moment. They both seem to be intermingling Mrs Peel and Tara King series.

I don’t know why it is, because I must have seen them all several times, but I always seem to catch one I can’t remember anything about. Which is handy really.

Crown Court on TalkingPictures TV. Added enjoyment of recognising a few well known actors in their early roles.

I'm really rather enjoying this. The three Beiderbecke series are all there. Once I've watched them, can anyone suggest anything else that is similar?

London burning was excellent.

Talking of Neil Pearson, between the lines and drop the dead donkey. Would happily watch these again.

Justified on Alibi. Such a great show and with just the right attitude. Perfect binge watching.
We started this around Christmas time, wasn't sure initially or even after the first series but we're still watching at S4. There's some great characters, Wynn Duffy and Quarles in particular. Always like Walton Goggins in stuff too.

We've also been watching Elementary, I'd wanted to watch it for quite a few years so was pleased Alibi started from the beginning a few months back. Preferable to Justified, but they are quite different so can watch concurrently.

The old cast, including Pearson, are doing a run of stage shows in Richmond in June if anyone’s interested.

I am watching Desperate Housewives for the first time since it was broadcast. Very fun and melodramatic.

Lots of nice cars on display, Gabi alone has so far been through two Maseratis and an Aston Martin in one year (the driver is nice to look at too, just ask John Rowland).

Have just completed Hill Street Blues , an age before wokism. Some one liners that’d get you banned from facebook and twitter and have a lynch mob camped outside your house now.
Can understand why the plug was pulled as the stories ran out but it was a good watch.
I started on the more gritty NYPD Blue last night.
Really enjoy watching Dennis Franz as both Buntz and Sipowicz.
I'm watching NYPD Blue at the moment. It's very good & agree that Franz is excellent.

There are 12 Seasons/261 Episodes & I'm upto S2, E7. I've a long way to go.

Star Fleet is one of those shows that I loved when I was about 10 but just can't see the attraction 40 years later. The puppetry is not far above the level of my sister moving her Barbie dolls around and making them 'talk', while even the voice performances generally lack any attempt at emotion.
The central gimmick of having three spacecraft that fit together into a giant robot is still quite cool, I suppose, but a bit pointless.

I also loved Battle of the Planets as a child but only years later realised that what I had watched was a completely butchered version of the Japanese original.

I have just started watching this again, watched 3 episodes last night. I lived in Leeds in the early 70s / 80s and really enjoy seeing all the reminders of places I used to know well, and I have always had a bit of a thing for Barbara Flynn.

Started watching the first series of mission impossible, my god it is dire, tastes change, ridiculous plots and acting.

Was a big fan when they first broadcast on tv but sadly unwatchable now

It’s a bit late in the day to realise MI is a bit ridiculous I would have thought.

Pure escapism though innit? From the 60’s were you born then?

Yes. UK TV was dreadfully dull most of the time. US imports like MI, I Spy, The FBI, The Man From Uncle, The Figutive and many more added a much needed bit of pizazz.
