Haven't seen anybody flag it yet but "The Order" looks interesting. Matt Frewer being slightly crazed in it helps.
Magic, Murder and werewolves....
I finished it today, thought it was pretty good. It was a bit silly but enjoyable. Has 6.3 on IMDB, which is probably fair enough.

Not sure if it's had a mention but just watched all of 'The Innocent man'. Quite good, I enjoyed it anyway. I read the book by John Grisham a few years ago.

Formula 1: Drive to Survive has been added today. A behind the scenes look at a few F1 teams last season, might be interesting. I found the Juventus one a bit meh...Amazon tend to do a better job on these kind of docs IMO. Having said that, Last Chance U was/is superb,
Another vote for Last Chance U. A terrific programme.

After Life - Ricky Gervais.

3 episodes in and quite enjoying it. Certainly better than Derek was.
I loved Derek. Binged watched all 6 episodes of After Life. Just stunning tv. The last 2 episodes, a real roller coaster of emotions. Tragic and supremely uplifting at the same time.

And Penelope Wilton....sheer class.

So many profound moments. My favourite lines....."society is great when old men plant trees, the shade of which they know they will never sit in". And "happiness is amazing. It's so amazing, it doesn't matter" if it's someone else's happiness"

Beautifully written and acted. Hats off to RG, and all involved.

That F1 show is a LOT better than watching the actual racing tbh

That was ace, really enjoyed watching last years season through this documentary series. The Williams documentary on iPlayer added to a nice pre-season F1 binge this week.

We'll have to agree to disagree re Derek.

The only thing I found odd about Afterlife was his effectively paying for someone to commit suicide. Apart from his missing the funeral, it just seemed he wasn't much bothered by effectively writing the guy off, presumably because he was an addict? I assume he discovered the value of life a little too late to try and convince the guy his life was every bit as valuable?

The point was, as I saw it, he just didn't care if the bloke died, and the bloke wanted to die, so he helped him die. But then their was a consequence, his brother in law threatening to stop him from seeing his nephew George. So Tony had to lie, and say he had no idea he was going to kill himself. It was a light bulb moment, because he thought he didn't care about anything, but had to lie to preserve something he did care about, his relationship with George. That was the start of his redemption.

That's my take on it anyway.

Just started American Vandal. Mocumentary about a high school kid accused of spray painting giant dicks on all the cars in the teacher's car-park. Basically a piss-take of the current vogue for true crime stuff like The Staircase etc.

Very amusing first episode. Will definitely keep watching.

Yes, I took that away from it, but I think I would have just preferred the bulb lit before the guy died. Personally I wouldn't want to live with the fact I had helped someone die when I could have done more to help them recover their desire to live.

I don't like Ricky Gervais very much, but I warmed to After Life.

A strange mixture of making me very sad about life in general with some very funny moments.

Edit: Apart from I just watched the last one and it ended a bit too 'twee'. Needed some bitter sweetness.

i think the death of Julian was dark enough to allow some light in at the end
