I don’t think they’ll bring Phelan back too soon; there’s no need for it.

The heat is on Pat as the police hasn’t found the body yet so it doesn’t make sense for him going back to the street. Let Phelan slip away quietly for now and bring him back in a few months / years.

ITV managed to keep Phelan’s resurrection quiet, or at least I didn’t read anywhere that he was going to survive. Surprising really, as there are usually a few spoilers or optional outcomes for a storyline. It’s all getting a bit silly now though. Still, good in a way he’s back from the dead; such a good actor and great villain.
