Big open metal box... any guesses for how many 0's on their heating bill?
I may have missed it but what type heating system did they install? Or were they going for the open brazier style to match the rest of the warehouse.Laurel Green said:

Underfloor and a wood burner.
Though that will be straight up and out through the roof me thinks. Unless of course the roof panels were twin-walled with insulation between but, certainly did not look that way to me. A £600k metal shed absolutely rediculous but in london probably would sell to an artist type for double that.

I quite liked it- as it sounded like he worked there with a number of people it probably works quite well as a home/office. I'm not going to be at the front of the queue if he ever decides to sell though.

There was a chunk of insulation in the roof panels its the 30 ft of glass windows on one side i'd be worried about. I would love to see one of those infrared images of heat loss on that property.

I must have missed that bit. I just remembered seeing the folded roof panels and thinking they were standard sheets. Seems a tad strange to use the same profile with insulation sandwiched between, rather than a smooth profile on the inner side, but then I guess that was the look they were after.A £600k metal shed absolutely rediculous but in london probably would sell to an artist type for double that.

They said at the end that it was completely double skinned and filled with as much insulation as they could cram in- although having said that they didn't seem to optimistic about the size of their energy bills...

It would be interesting to see their energy bills for the winter period - deep pockets required me thinks.I quite liked it- as it sounded like he worked there with a number of people it probably works quite well as a home/office. You won't find me in the queue either but, did think the overall look and finish was OK for their requirements, just not a grand design!
