Pocketcasts is a great app. Subscribe to a podcast, set auto download of new episodes, tell it to add to play queue and everything appears as if by magic from then on.

+1 for Pocketcasts. I've been using it for years, and it's only got better with updates.

Funny how experiences differ, Pocketcasts became a bloated piece of crap and they fked over everyone who had paid for it.
I sacked it off and have now used Podcast Republic ever since, it's superb, the developers answer tweets and its got a rather good internet radio built in.

Pocketcasts is the only app I have ever paid for, and I similarly felt fked over by them. I hated the major update they did to the point I found out how to reinstall the old version and am super careful never to update the app.

Ehhh, I paid years ago but the latest version offers better syncing options and seems to work well. It does everything I need from a podcast app to be honest.

Probably. It pissed me off and I'm very happy with what I use now.

I’ve been listening to a few Extremes podcasts, some pretty good stories.

I really want to use Google's own Podcast app to integrate with my Google Home speakers, so it knows where I've left off on whatever device, but the level of features is terrible

Someone on PH recommended the 'Conflicted' podcast, and I thought it was on this thread?

Anyway, I'm hooked and I've binged them all in a week, so I wanted to come back and thank the poster for the recommendation, but now I can't find them.

Anyway, whoever you are, thank you. It's probably the best thing I've listened to this year. smile

The first two episodes of America Vigilante were really good, but I can’t decide if it’s all true or if he’s a complete fantasist!

It was mentioned in response to something on the books you're reading thread recently.

Very interesting and informative podcast.

I've been really getting into Word in Your Ear. It's a pod by two old music journos - David Hepworth and Mark Ellen - who both spent 4 decades working on the likes of NME, Smash Hits, Mojo, Q and The Word.

They have an encyclopedic knowledge of music and an effortless way of bantering on. It's like Smith and Sniff but for music.

Which Conflicted, it comes up with a few results and I’m intrigued. One of these?

No parrot here. That’s the one, I’ve just checked.
