Another thumbs up for NYPD Blue from me, currently watching it yet again on Disney.

As something completely different i can also recommend Boston Legal.
Further vote for NYPD blue. Also in a similar vein Law and Order is very good.

We usually have an old comedy or sci-fi show running in the background while we’re milling around. Just finished Modern Family which was way better than I expected.

We’re watching Ugly Betty at the moment. I’m still on the fence about it.

My wife suggested a rerun of Big Little Lies recently. We're halfway through the first series. I'd forgotten how well David E Kelly writes.

Also dipping in to Boston Legal now and again, good fun if you enjoyed Ally McBeal.

I got there by following a link to James Spader, having got into The Blacklist. Very annoyed that NowTV have taken down series 7 onwards.

Just watched an episode of shameless, proper blast from the past and holds up well. Great show back in the day!
I watched the US version and it's brilliant. I'd really recommend it if you've only seen the UK version.

Brookside, my word it seems dated.

I'm filling in blanks on Game of Thrones at the moment, I had series 1-4 and 6 on DVD so I've done series five, a couple of series six until it all looked a bit familiar, and now half-way through series seven. Not incredibly different to previous ones but I feel a need to complete the set.

Just the trumpet sound at the start of Coronation Street made me feel glum.

Recently watched the whole of The Thick Of It for the first time.

Frighteningly how realistic it is even to this day given the current state of politics: political and administrative ineptitude best summed up by Malcolm Tucker "he's as useless as a marzipan dildo."

Still going through The Professionals - CI5.

I was too young to watch and understand the first three series, maybe all of them, and I don't remember watching any of them!
For some reason I disliked Lewis Collins, and his character. I don't know why, maybe it was because I read something about him being a wife beater!?

Anyhoo, he is such a good actor and really funny in it! He out acts Shaw and Jackson and you can see him and Shaw had so much fun, it was a shame Shaw blocked repeats.

Also, the Capri that Shaw (Doyle) drives only comes into it in the fourth series. I would have thought the RS2000 would be the one everyone was after!

"Turn that crap off!" my mum would say.

To be fair we were already scrabbling towards the TV on our bums to turn it over. All four channels of entertainment! (That you channel 5 for saving us!)

Growing up in Dorset , the Purbecks, and having a gran who lived with us from Manchester who used to regularly watch Coronation st in the 70s was one of my biggest motivators as a kid to not to end up living in a city

Stumbled across The Sandbaggers a few years ago having never heard of it before. Have subsequently watched it right through again.

It's about SIS or M.I.6. Really good, the antithesis of James Bond. Starring the excellent Roy Marsden and Ray Lonnen.

I haven’t seen any of veep but really enjoy Armando Ianucci’s output. The thick of it, in the loop and (especially) the death of Stalin are superb.

I stumbled on auf weidersien pet earlier this evening on itv 4 , series 1 episode 1 .
I remember watching it first time round as I’m old and I think it’s just as good , although I am from the north east and I’ve spent my life in the building trade , I’ve set record so I’m in for the series !
I’m guessing it’ll not be everyone’s cup of tea on here , it’s a bit northern and blue collar .
