Just noticed that The Bear Season 2's on D+ from 19th July.
Superb!Probably the best series we have watched for a long time.
still great though.

I found the Christmas one hard to watch
They really seemed to nail getting across how fked up the family is
Felt the same. Not in a negative way, as such, just a bit exhausting (though I suppose that's somewhat deliberate)..They really seemed to nail getting across how fked up the family is
The next episode though that focused on Richie (cousin) was superb.

Just started S1 of the Bear, bit of a Chef groupie so enjoying the kitchen stuff, surprised to be quite so gripped by the rest of it.
A lot of shouting though! Not a big fan of people shouting at each other.
Yeah this may not be the series for you then A lot of shouting though! Not a big fan of people shouting at each other.
Not gripped by the first two eps of s.2 it must be said though.

Especially as it's an extra long episode
It does seem quite accurate for large American catholic families though

A Small Light
I initially thought it was going to be a documentary (as on Nat Geographic section of Disney+). But was actually a drama type thing.
Anyway, very good I thought. Mainly focussed on Miep Gies (lady who helped hide Otto Franks family and some others). Kind of hard watching at times as you know the outcome but worth a watch.
We've just finished it tooI initially thought it was going to be a documentary (as on Nat Geographic section of Disney+). But was actually a drama type thing.

You know how it ends but it manages to give you hope before the reality
Brilliant, if as you say, hard to watch at times

Unwatchable, why?
Chef? It all just seemed so implausible and didn’t know what it wanted to be.There’s a stellar show waiting to be written about professional kitchens but it always seems to me they always descend onto Patricia’s of other shows and genres.
I guess it’s a pretty long shot to find a writer who has the experience to make it realistic.
Chef just seemed to have characters by the numbers and situations that would never occur in a pro kitchen. Then any old storyline thrown at it that didn’t include anything to do with chef’ing.
