The official PH Coronation Street thread
Discussion
I don't normally like Gail, but her speech last night was very moving. Copied below for anyone that missed it -
'Forty-odd years I've lived on this street. That same view every day. Practically know every cobble back to front.
'I like to think we look out for each other around here and without being nosey, know what's going on in each other's lives. But you don't, do you?
'Not that I knew him that well. Just to say hello to really. But he was always polite with me, which is more than you can say for some folk.
'I hope I'd have listened if he ever wanted to speak to me, not that he would have done.
'I wonder when he did it? When I was reading the kids a bedtime story? When I was getting ready for bed?
'When I was having some toast this morning? Or was I sleeping, safe in here with the double glazing and the central heating thinking our problems are bigger than everybody else's?
'Well, happen we've all been sleeping Mam. I can't stop thinking about poor Johnny. His son's not coming home tonight. I just hope to god mine is.'

Josh strikes me as a pretty transient character anyway, not due to stay on the street's cast list for long. I suspect there will be blood in the near future. (I'd like to see David bring back Graeme, his old cellmate, to assist. I miss him - good character. I remember his "umbrage has been taken".)
Remember him well, he always came over to me as a bit thick and creepy.....

I wonder what tipped Aiden over the edge, do you think he's secretly been watching Eastenders?
I'll be honest Corrie is much more depressing these days than Eastenders is.cuprabob said:
Feel sorry for Tracy as no one seems to be buying flowers. Normally the florists do a good trade in such circumstances
It's bit early for flowers, she'll be rubbing her hands together and stocking up right now.anonymous said:

I doubt it very much - I can't see any connection. I was thinking about Phelan last night, he must be due to resurface very soon, probably when viewers have attuned to Aidan's demise and things have moved on.I know there's product-placement in Corrie, but have they struck a deal with Tupperware, or maybe the producers have bought a job lot at a boot sale? Last night Daniel was filling a pile in his kitchen, and later Jenny was doing the same thing at Aidan's flat. That's a lot of polythene packaging in one episode.
