It’s all ok when Roy Cropper says it is. Guns down lads.

So if that was "real life"...would Anna have been charged with murder, or let off as "self defence"? judge

Sorry to see Anna go, I'll miss her baps behind the counter in Roy's Rolls..
Self defence all day long. What jury is going to convict someone under those circumstances?

She was in a kitchen where sharp knives are in abundance.

As an aside, I think Pat will win the Best Actor award at the Soap Awards tonight.

It was clearly murder and in front of many witnesses including Roy who never lies!

Just to counter my “distance viewing” accusations - I remembered Nigel Havers straight away.

That said, it seems a little pointless and desperate to bring him back - I guess we need a new baddie, but Pat Phelan he ain’t....

Me, I want the body to “disappear” hehe

That was utter garbage.
I've been watching since about 1970. But I don't think I've even been closer to knocking it on the head. Complete fking nonsense.

I've been watching it since the very first episode in 1960, I remember watching it with my Gran as a young lad, she got me into it... missed very few episodes, maybe fifty or so, and not a single one since 1976, thanks to the advent video recorders.

Corrie goes through phases, personally I think there are far too many characters in it at the moment, they need to cull about ten, then tone down the sensationalist stuff, but they have to have some juicy storylines to keep the interest and viewing ratings up

Corrie's like the Hotel California, you can enter but never leave.. smile

Do you remember him killing Betty Turpin and stealing the hotpot recipe?

The trap which awards panels fall into is to give the gong to the actor who had the best script. Both Bethany and David had dream scripts- sex, violence , trauma , betrayal- and the actors playing them , almost regardless of performance , benefit from the quality of the plot.

Both made a good ..umm.... fist of the opportunity, and I'd say Bethany much more so than David. She was able to show some nuance in her acting whilst David runs through the same routine - anger, sarcasm and vulnerability- which has characterised his performance since he was a kid.

If it comes to sheer acting ability , as it should , then Gemma , Norris , Roy and Mary would have cleaned up. Again .

ETA - and Phelan, of course, who was magnifcent

Hoping they find some more typical humour and plots now. Enjoyed Phelan. Nigel Havers appears to be the next panto villain in waiting.
They must have just about exhausted the various scenarios and situations now over the last 2 yrs. Time for something else !

The drugs story would seem to be over, but knowing Corrie this may just be the beginning. Dire plotline.
It's all a bit stale now that Pat has gone.

Have to agree, probably the daftest episode for years.

At least Roy is probably going to keep his £3,000.

Its the little things that annoy me, in particular the police side of things. They do loads of research into other parts of things (David's rape, Aiden etc). But why can't get get someone to give them some advice with the police.

Two people shot, one bloke stabbed, armed police around, but because Roy says OK its all OK. Same as going everywhere on blue lights.

That ex boyfriend of Rosie (Drug dealer, Anton?) has got to be the worst actor ever. Even made Michelle's stalker look like a potential Oscar winner.

The whole thing was cringe worthy.
