I wonder if the last shot will be a big advert for "Saul Goodman" with all the clips he's been filming each week
That's a good call.

Agreed, that would be great! He's certainly becoming more 'Saul' by the week now.

Last episode was a cracker, next week season final should be excellent - I can't wait - if it closes with the Saul Goodman Ad I'll be ecstatic.

I think this is the turning point. Saul wonders to the dark side and stays there. Saul's realisation that his shenanigans can impact people's lives with serious consequences, yet he will continue doing it.

I was rooting for Saul but now have sympathy for his brother and what he's sacrificed to get where he is. He's an honest, hard working guy and at every turn has tried to do the 'right thing.'

Had anyone else completely missed that the guy playing Chuck is David St Hubbins from This Is Spinal Tap? Or is it just me who's that dense? smile

Revisiting Breaking Bad, first interaction between Saul and Walt/Jesse when they take him out to the desert.

The first words out of his mouth were "It wasn't me, it was Nacho!", meaning he thought they were Cartel.

Will be interesting to see if BCS loops back around so we find out what Saul did!

The brother that has blocked his progress up the HHM ladder ? Blocked the progress of Jimmys friend/Girlfriend generally tried to keep him down for years ?

The flashback we saw of young Jimmy and the guy asking Jimmy's dad for money with some made up story shows it was not jimmy that was staling the money but his father was too trusting and gave it away willingly.

Of course a jealous older brother would blame the younger boy if he was not around to see the truth. Jimmy has been pushed back and trodden on by Chuck all his life. Their father even swore right to the end it was not Jimmy's fault.

Interesting bit of info there
My initial feeling was Nacho gets killed off at some point by Tuco, but that line perhaps suggests he'll get away from the cartel, possibly with their money. He's a forward thinking guy. Will he make it? The series could do with a Nacho heavy episode to see what he's about.

That scene showed Jimmy began stealing from his dad when he saw that his dad was far too giving and probably wouldn't miss the money.

In Chuck's defence, Jimmy can't be trusted - would you trust him? I wouldn't. And given that he knows all about his background, he didn't think Jimmy was cut out to be an upholder of the law. That shouldn't be Chuck's decision to make but he took it upon himself.

That note..

Why do I think it was left by a certain someone!

It did smack a little of desperation ("please let us continue the story...!)

I'm starting to 'get' the parallels between BCS and BrBa now - how every character has their qualities that makes them righteous or at least likeable, but also have their overarching flaws.

As a new convert to Netflix I'm on series 4 of Breaking Bad. Is this worth watching afterwards?

Yes. Just don't expect the same pace. It's very fine and very slow. Like a good single malt.

Loving the latest series and how the little flash backs fill in the precarious holes.

Very addictive watching!

The foreshadowing of not telling Jimmy his own mums last words were about him tells us all the answer to that..

Chuck has always resented Jimmy, and always worked out his anger and jealousy by hurting Jimmy where he can..

Great finale. Now just the wait for season 3! Chuck is a sneaky bd isn't he? Jimmy should have known that he'd be upto something.
