It's the only series on Apple TV that I've stuck with beyond the first season.
Hopefully you'll stick with Severance when Season 2 starts....
I'd have to wade through the rest of Season 1 first.....

Jackson Lamb is a great character
Interviews with the actor about how much he enjoys playing him are pretty entertaining as well.

We love Slow Horses too, Series 3 got a little silly in the end but it's still great.

There are two more seasons to come too thumbup

Started For All Mankind

5 episodes in - it’s very well made and is kind of engaging at this point - does it pick up any more steam?
Seems to be low on sci-fi and heavy on marriage politics in the 60’s.

It's not so much sci-fi but alternate history. They always stick to science that could have been pursued if the cold war superpowers kept spending on the space race.
I don't think this is a spoiler, but it's now got to the stage where it feels like it could be the prequel to The Expanse, which is centuries in the future, but the science is still 'grounded'.

I also felt season 1 focused more than I would like on the domestic dramas. But in later seasons they get the balance right.

I think this is fair, but then again it makes later series more “satisfying” when we know the main characters’ backstories so well…

We've just finished Five Days at Memorial about Hurricane Katrina and the aftermath. I remember the hurricane but didn't know anything else, thought it was really good. I may watch the Sky Atlantic program soon

Anyone watching Dark Matter?

Can't quite figure out whether it's any good but am sort of enjoying it partly because I really can't predict where it's going.

I'm watching but it's reeeeeally slow isn't it? I suspect the first series could have been done better as a 2 hour film.

It's starting to feel like the kind of story that is being written as they go along.

Enjoying it but you do need to turn off part of your brain to enjoy it, (with drugs maybe) it's like 30% plot holed pure trash, 70% decent fun.

Coda

Movie about a family all deaf bar daughter who can her and is the translator for the family even though still at school.

They are sea fishermen close to Boston.

Girl has a good voice and main subject is her conflict about leaving the family to better herself or remaining with them

Surprisingly good.

Ahhh I was a bit disappointed tbh - doesn’t compare well with Band of Brothers in my opinion (and neither does Pacific).

I can also see why it would disappoint. IMO a lot of it is rushed, too rushed I guess that that's the price for only making it a 9-parter. Could/should have been longer/more detailed - still really 'enjoyed' it though

I also can’t figure out whether I like it or not. It started really well but the last few episodes have just been fluff.

How many total episodes?

I gave up. Its lack of pace helped my insomnia though.

same here

a lot of these type of series now really dont bring anything new to the party, although the ending perhaps will be different, we've seen this in spades recently - dark , mysterious, slow burner scifi that deliberately confuses you until the end (being 8 weeks down the line)....ive just lost interest in these types of things

I just watched Season 1 and have started Season 2, I’m really enjoying it. Plus Kristin Scott Thomas …. ❤️ (I’m old and still remember Four Weddings an a Funeral smile )

It did win 3 Oscars including best picture.

It's a good film.
