Nice upgrade Tye, I bet she'd go like a Fireblade.

How does Johnny expect to get custody over the mother?

Stupid storyline.

He can forget any access once she hears his silly plans too.

Would he not have a leg to stand on arguing that she isn't fit to care for the child considering she tried giving it away to another couple once?

I know nothing about these kind of matters.

No, he wouldn't have a snowball in hell's chance. But overturning the will just got a lot more feasible. Surely if Aiden had known he had a daughter, she would have inherited the factory.

But he didn't - that isn't grounds for altering the will (said he , 40 odd years after doing his law degree and having forgotten most of it ...) . I don't think grandparents have any significant legal rights either .

Fair enough. I don't have a law degree, I was just making an (un)educated guess.

Donatio mortis causa is all I can remember, and it's not really applicable here, unless Aidan had "known" about the baby, and donated a proportion of his cash to her before taking his own life.

Takes me back - "Law re wills". Never could pass it. Commorientes was interesting. Working out who was oldest at the instantaneous time of death.

Have to agree that Eva has by far the greatest claim to custody. Natural mother with no known reasons why the child would be in danger or uncared for. However, this is soapland. Normality ceases to exist.

The chances of any soap lawyer knowing any of this is nil...

Yes, he may not get custody of Suzie, but he can still drive a 7.5tn truck on his car licence.

Maybe they are after his police pension? biggrin

Thinking of Craig reminded me of this old joke....

Fella with no arms and no legs swimming the channel...…...caught cramp in his ears.

Have to ask again as all enquiries have drawn a blank. Nobody knows why Sean’s not working at the factory?

They all lost their jobs when the factory was wrecked, and then he worked at the medical centre (?)- was he still there when the girls got re-offered their jobs by Aidan?
