Oh yeah .. just had a quick look through to check.
I thought it was her senior for a second!
Nah, now I don't know (so no-one st their knickers), but I reckon Cersei will stay the course till near the very end, I do foresee an extremely nasty end for her though. But we'll see her new Kingsguard in action first.I thought it was her senior for a second!

I can see Cersei out living everyone. It'd suit GRRMs style
I was about to ask what people's expectations for this season were?!For me, either Cersei has to die or Danni has to get to Westoros. If neither of those things happen I'll stop watching the show. Danni's story in particular is beginning to wear on me!
I just hope something happens this season. S5 seemed like an entire seasonnof people walking from one place to where they had to be for S6, with yet another season of Useless Sansa and the odd good character killed off needlessly because they think that's what shocks us.Still annoyed by how Barristan was wasted.
Sansa needs to either become a badass or die, watching her trudge around in misery is getting boring now. Dany needs to kick ass, crush Essos and then invade Westeros. Snow/bran/the White walkers at least look like they're up for a fight.

Grey Worm lived, Barristan died- both Dany and Grey Worm mentioned it. It's not so much that he died, but that it felt like after four episodes they had to kill someone because nothing elsenwas happening. It was also the last episode to be "leaked" in advance of the season, so read into that what you will.
I'd have had him die after an almighty defence at Dany's assasination attempt, turning the tide against the harpies and looking like he might just do it before being overrun. It would have given the episode a real emotional "oh st, now they're all going to die!" feel unlike the dragon bit which you were sort of waiting for.

That was the point of it.Perhaps if we'd seen him be a total badass at some point I'd have felt better. In the TV series everyone talks about him once being some kind of god-level fighter, but we never get to see it so his character feels unresolved and his reputation unwarranted.
All IMO of course

It was a pretty rubbish point though, drawing a parallel with Bronn/Jamies throwaway conversation and Barry having a rubbish death wasn't good story telling IMO, it felt more like a token death to spice up a dull season than a gotcha moment like the red wedding or a tragedy like the Lannister girl.

I understand your point (while still disagreeing), but unfortunately I reckon they were stuck in a hole with who they cast. There are few genuine badasses at that age. Liam Neeson? I reckon they got the most out of him they could. It doesn't look good when an old guy tries to do stuff he's not used to. I'm thinking of Sean Connery here. Won't he be (in his prime) in the tower flashback with old man Stark?
No, he was recovering from being half dead at the battle of the Trident. The tower scene will be young Ned Stark and dead-warg-boys Dad plus others vs Ser Arthur Dayne, supposedly the best fighter in westeros who Jamie thought was incredible. Reading the book is great as Ned remembers it, though he's feverish and full of opium as he has his dream.HBO trolling mindfk teaser trailer (that is the official name for this one as well) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmrA8nOZF2Q
