Furious 7 (Fast & Furious 7)
Discussion
The cast know they're getting a fat pay cheque. They may also be hoping they escape with some of their dignity intact, but they don't. The F&F films up to maybe Fast Five were silly but enjoyable. The series jumped the shark with F&F6 and this ridiculous idea that the main characters now constitute some sort of crack special ops task force so highly skilled that Government security agencies turn to them for help. F&F7 continues in the same vein but raises the bar of stupidity and implausibility even higher. All that could maybe be overlooked if there were some decent car chases, but there aren't even any, just cars being driven off cliffs and buildings. F&F7 just made me pine for the very first F&F film, which now looks like a stripped-out street racing documentary compared to this overblown tosh.

Lots of haters here by the sounds of it but they're clearly doing something right.
Fastest movie to a billion dollars at the box office, beating Avatar, Harry Potter and Avengers by 2 days.
I'd say more likers than haters. Each to their own, you can't please everyone. But I do question those who comment on a film they have no intention of watching, because an earlier on was "not for them" Fastest movie to a billion dollars at the box office, beating Avatar, Harry Potter and Avengers by 2 days.
Sadly, money earners don't always mean a good film, but F&F7 is a decent brain out film. But I wonder if it would have made so much, so quickly, if one of the headliners hadn't been killed mid shoot??

It's the 'Dark Knight' effect. There's no denying Heath Ledger's performance was great in it, but was it made better by his death?Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
