Bits of films that make no sense

Yep for some films it obviously works, Das Boot being the obvious example but without giving away too many spoilers Fassbenders character is American...except when he isn't. Very jarring and lots of fast action on screen mean you either miss the action or miss the dialogue. They should have just had him speaking English throughout, they could have easily explained it away with some scientific mumbo jumbo like they did with most of the rest of the film.
Only slightly related, but I always found it very amusing in the film The Rocketeer that Timothy Dalton's character had a flawless English accent until he was revealed to be a German agent* whereupon he starts speaking in an 'Allo 'Allo style German-accented English. (* - apologies to anyone for whom this is a spoiler, but the film is almost 26 years old)

The supervillain/evil corporation always have loads of faceless goons ready to throw their lives away. Where do they recruit these people and why are they so eager to join? Does Blofled offer a good holiday package?
Austin Powers takes the piss out of that wonderfully.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hD3w_VdTG30

Although, after the Iraq war, and the second largest army at one point being Blackwater...I guess it is possible.

Yes, this tends to make me chuckle. Plus the amount of money the super villain must spend to carry out their plan surely is more then the amount they're trying to steal? Die Hard 4.0 - how many henchmen does he have working for him? Plus cars, trucks, helicopters, etc...
Wasn't it Die Hard 4.0 where someone with too much time on their hands added up the cost of all the stuff that Bruce Willis destroys through the film in his pursuit of the miscreants and worked out t would have been cheaper to pay up in the first place?get caught, escape, an escape plan which is quite frankly ridiculous and could go wrong at any time which includes a perfectly timed explosion / train interface while bond has plenty of time to put a bullet in your legs in a ladder. Just in time to meet more of your henchmen who have dressed up as cops and nobody has noticed just to get to a fking hearing where M is that you knew was happening so could have cut out all tha st and gone there and killed her anyway.
In short lost everything risked everything for no gain.

There was also a bit in Austin Powers where #2 tells Dr. Evil that they are making obscene amounts of money in their legitimate enterprises and that his evil plans of extortion would a) not be a vastly more and b) could jeopardise it. I think the best parody of it was done in The Simpsons though, where Homer ends up working for Hank Scorpio in the episode You Only Move Twice who, apart from being a kind and amiable employer who treats his employees really well, is also a supervillain.

The matrix.
Hey tell him to follow the white rabbit. They can't see into the future how do they know he will even see it and they will even ask him to join them or where they are even going.
They were helping Trinity, their job was to get him to the club. The matrix.

Luke dragging Vaders body.
If only Jedi's had a way to move objects with the power of their mind.
I can give that a pass, Luke is basically a self trained Jedi (a few days/weeks of Yoda?), who when stationary has levitated a robot and yeah, a ship but that was under a loving blanket of calm. He had just had to fight his dad, and st is going down all around him.If only Jedi's had a way to move objects with the power of their mind.

So either, Trinity is reading the Matrix whilst chatting to Neo and notices that he is going to be asked to go out byt someone with a White Rabbit tattoo, or she is in the Matrix and the operator is telling her this, she then sends the message to Neo 'Follow the white rabbit, knock knock'.
Or, there is a theory that both Choi and DuJour (tattoo girl) are in fact Redpills, he the Captain of the hovership 'Freedom' and she his trusted Lieutenant. Not only that, but it's made clear that they were working with Trinity and Morpheus to assess and then rescue Neo.

The ability to subdue the environmental effects and use one's mind is reliant on one's emotions. He can do that shizz at the start in a fight, because he knows there's no-one to outdo him. But at the end he has just gone through a physical and emotional trauma, so he's frazzled, that's my take anyway.

In films on board a naval ship or submarine. All nice and calm, white light, not much noise then "action stations " the lights turn to flashing red, a klaxon continually blasts out, and people running in all directions.
Well that helps, keep the white light to easier see where yr going. Lose the klaxon so you can hear further instructions and updates and think better. Oh and perhaps if for example your position is on the main gun on the bow deck, maybe suggest that yr quarters should be nearby not halfway along the ship a few stories down. Stops people, running everywhere and they get to their station quicker.

From what I understand the idea of the red light is to help people get accustom to low light in case they have to surface or something like that or am I expecting a whoosh parrot?Well that helps, keep the white light to easier see where yr going.
