Behind Enemy Lines is quite authentic in places.

Pulp Fiction is ste. Annoying, overrated, nowhere near as clever as it thinks it is, total excrement from start to end. Sickeningly horrible film with zero redeeming features. Predictable, formulaic, overly styled doggerel. The worst film of all time, and I include Daddy Day Camp in that.

I cannot bear Dr Who; I find it over-acted yet with feeble special effects. It isn't imaginative, nor scary, nor funny; I cannot understand its popularity, sorry.

Not scary or particularly funny I agree. But not imaginative? What would you consider imaginative?

That's how I feel about Reservoir Dogs.

EastEnders is overrated
Hollyoaks is underrated
Lord of the rings and star wars are terrible
Overrated at what though, As entertainment that you like, or overrated as the better examples of their respective soap/teen soap/fantasy/scifi genre's?

That as well. The only Tarantino film I can even bear to watch is Inglorious Basterds (the spelling, gnnnnnn), and there's parts of that I hate too. His films are all style over substance, whilst managing to trick seemingly millions of people into thinking there is some substance behind the style. They are all unmitigated guff.

Man Down is utter garbage.

And the cast are at least 10 (or 15) years to old to be playing their characters.

Outside now!

This one gets you a proper British slightly awkward man fight. Unless you're a midget.

Smiler.

I hate pretty much anything with 'celebrity' in the title.

Love Masterchef and Masterchef the Professionals - but I can't stand the sleb version.

I'm going to add Hunt for the Wilder People, it'll get me kicked out of NZ. But it was just boring.

The thing that makes it worse is anything by Taika Waititi over here is automatically given 5 stars by critics, regardless of how bad it is. Thor 3 got 5 stars, despite being a solid 3.5. The only remotely clever film hes done is What we do in the Shadows.

And the only thing that made Boy watchable was because of local stereotypes about maori people.

I think most of his work is great, maybe a bit too much humour in Thor but it's not exactly an art film.

And to be fair the reviews overseas are generally in line with those NZ reviews, Rotten Tomatoes has Wilderpeople at 97%, Boy at 87%, Shadows at 96%, Thor at 92%. Even the Aussie reviewers agree.

Having just watched The Hateful Eight on Netflix, I find myself in total agreement with most the above. (I haven't seen Inglorius bds).
