There are so many 'breaks' as there are so many commercial break in the US. On some channels you have one after the opening credits, then another 5 minutes later, and so on, and so forth. On some channels, a film can go on for 4 hours, despite only being 2 hours long as there is so many bloody commercials!

I've taken to starting watching BSG on Sky+ 15-20 mins after it starts, because after fast-forwarding through the recap, pre-cap and adverts, I catch up to "live" round about the time it ends.

I think it's pretty disgusting that 1/3 of the viewing time in an hour's programme is adverts and stuff.

it was for this very reason that I didn't watch Sries 3 on TV at all, but waited for the DVD boxset - although with SKY+ now, we can record and skip the 20+ minutes of ads per episode.

Eps 1 and 2 are RAZOR, even though it deals with "old" issues.

Eps 3 and 4 were last week's double bill.

Ep 5 was tonight's.

Sky says no.

Sky says tonights was EP 3. Their show guide says EP1 and 2 were a dbl part episode about Kara coming back, then confronting the Pres and getting the Demetrious to bugger off for Earth.

I noticed that in the programme info too.

Razor is properly considered as eps 4.1 and 4.2, at least according to Ronald D Moore. It just happened to be released early, to allow them to market it as a standalone DVD.

Not that it really matters

The civil war between the Cylon factions is shaping up to be interesting..... And I wonder what Pandora's Box No. 6 has opened by removing the governing chips from the Centurions.

Sounds like the USA is only half a week ahead now.

I wouldn't be surprised if the end of the series saw the robotic Cylons hunting down the humanoid ones, in the same way the Cylons sought to eradicate man.

Indeed as the other chap said, according to the production schedule Razor is considered as being Ep 1 and 2 of Season 4. In reality the normal 45 minute episodes are being referred to as 1, 2, 3 rather than picking up at 3 and then going to 4 and 5 as the production listings say.

We get it a few days after it airs in the US this year. I think that's probably to do with the fact that Sky are co-funding it. Or at least I assume they are - for some reason, I let the end titles run after I watched it last night and right at the end, as the production company logo comes up, it flashed up the Sky logo saying "in association with".

Or just plain Episode 4 to everybody else.

Seriously, just because BMW owners feel the need to sound like tossers when quoting their E designations codewords, dont be bringing that much gimpness to a 45min Sky One show.

It's S04E04 if you're typing it in to the search facility mininova etc. Else it's episode 4. Or maybe episode 6.

Poor Callie frown, she didn't deserve that. But it gives a damn good indication where one loyalty lies.

Quite an ending to this weeks episode.

Agree the Cylon Civil War looks to be a good arc, but who is the 12th skin job? Has to be revealed soon, surely.

Sky have co-funded all 4 series of BSG. The first series was even shown on Sky before it was shown in the States.

Guys and gals I have not read this thread in full in case there are any spoilers so apologies if the question has been asked.

Basically I cancelled Sky about a month ago...not being tight, it's just that there are only so many repeats of Top Gear I can manage and I simply just never, ever watched stuff that I can't see on Freeview and with summer coming (hmmm...) I'd much rather be out doing stuff than watching the TV...however the one and only thing though that I miss horribly is BSG! The plan was to buy the box set when it comes out...any ideas when this is? Will I have to wait until the end of the series? If so I might just have to re-instate Sky!!!!!

Unles they decide to release the series as 2 half series boxed sets - you will probably have to wait until mid 2009...

Due to the writes strike BSG series 4 will be shown in 2 parts - the first half this year, the second half next year...

You could always download it - no adverts and available on Saturday morning....
