The problem I have with FF is that hie review of the Corvette left me thinking that I do not really buy into his opinion as it felt like this was the 1st supercar he had driven and did not really convince me he had experience of anything else to judge it against. Even if his driving skills were able to differentiate the differences.

The Iceland bits were ok but a bit lacking. I suppose they needed a fairly chunky last minute rewrite when Freddie couldn't make it.

Very week indeed.

It’s time for them to admit defeat and that even on a bad day, the CHM years presenting styles and writers just make this lot look like a bunch of 6th Form students who have been given a task of making a TV show.

Harris, apart from being able to drive is just awful when you put a camera in his face. His ability of being able to put on a huge fake laugh when any of his celebrity ‘friends’ do anything even slightly amusing is worthy of an BAFTA.

Flintoff, his acting and presenting style is more wooden than the wooden tops (one for children of the 50s). You can see his lips move when reading the autocue.

McGuiness, he is now real life character that you would see on Phonenix Nights.

BBC, you gave them a chance. But now get rid of them all and try another set of presenters.
Agree with all of that. For the 1st tiem in my life I looked over my shoulder from my PC (was playing a game), saw TG was on , shrugged, and ignored it. It's st.

Have to agree with this, I didn't even make it through the episode.

So you agree on the bits that you watched. I'm guessing you won't watch it again then?

Was there anything better on the Beeb to watch last night, I doubt it, enjoyable enough. However, I don’t think the bar is set high for BBC content recently.
I liked CH, MLB and RR,, but understand why that had to end.
JC, JM and RH, Mrs. DG, loves to watch repeats, she not even interested in cars. In addition, English is her second language. I guess there’s a reason that era was a big earner for the BBC. Post JC, JM and RH, she has little interest in.

I will continue to watch it, better than most things on Sunday night TV.

FF’s review of the Camaro just made me think of this guy… https://youtu.be/xgMgkl-gRxk

PM and CH have no chemistry.

I still watched though..
His review of the what.....? wink
Got me… I meant the Corvette of course smile

In summary: bloke who can’t really drive then drives a fast car and thinks it’s brilliant. Not overly insightful!

He was a brave man last week to do the chilli challenge though. I’ve eaten a Carolina Reaper and it was the worst challenge ever! Can’t stomach pepper now.
I've read this so often about Flintoff, McGuiness and of course Hammond, by what metric can they not drive?
What do you actually mean by that?
How are you judging them?
Can you drive?

a review of the aston martin valk would be so nice, the problem is everything has to be filmed in advance so unless they have got exclusivity on it then the youtubers will have already done a review

James May is renowned for 'not being able to drive', I don't think it matters really.

What does show is that neither Flintoff nor McGuinness are journalists and it's plainly obvious when they're trying to do a review. James May may not be able to slide a car like Clarkson or Hammond could, but the fact he was a proper journalist and knew how to review car properly made up for it. You didn't really learn anything from Flintoffs review of the 'Vette.

I bet you May is a better driver than 90% of the folks on here.

Maybe so, but he has the charisma and personality of a log.

Presumably, like everyone else, CH thinks PM is a pillock.

I don't think it's particularly bad - certainly considering some of the dross that's come out over the years - but they've definitely struggled making it.

The material has been stretched very very thin so we have hardly any episodes, and those basically consist of two items per episode stretched at least 50% further than the content really supports. So much padding!

It's not bad but it's not good either. At least it doesn't have the geriatric whiff of TGT, just of a bunch trying to put something together when they haven't got enough of the critical ingredients to work with.

I quite like James May, but he isn't great at the scripted stuff.

I don't watch much TV mainly because I'm a music nerd so I'd rather be listening to something rather than watching it. I can genuinely go weeks without switching the TV on and it's usually just sitting there with a cover on.

However, I like cars and a show with cars in is always worth whipping the cover for an hour of chuckles but this TG iteration is just dull, it's not even very good entertainment on the whole. McGuinness is clearly marmite and I fall into the camp of wanting to throw the TV out of the window every time he opens his gob and the other two are just meh.

I'll probably still watch it but I wish they'd never moved it to BBC1 and dare I say it, it would be good to see CHM doing it again. At least they were genuinely funny on occasion.

So, no-one can say what it is that suggests FF, PMcG and RH can't drive.
There's not the slightest possibility that way back a poster said RH can't drive and one of the sheep on here thought " that's a cool thing to say, it would be good if I repeated it then I'll sound cool too. While I'm at it I'll slag Vauxhalls because that's what the cool kids are doing so I'll do it too. While I'm at it I'll sling in a few Daily Fails, Halfrauds, Scumtrees and Fleabays. I won't have to explain it but I'll sound so fking cool".

Sorry Chris Harris, but were you not very well when filming that. I'm thinking of that shot when you and Paddy were walking to the containers, you looked knackered. Clearly bucked up a bit later on though.

Carry on chap, don't let the bell ends get you down. Bad luck on Roger Albert btw, been there, early off, lose a bundle of time, then playing catch up and overtaking the tailenders for the remaining days.
