A film 'series' for sports fans. Been making my way through the 30 for 30 series that has been shown on bt sport since the lockdown. Really decent sports documentaries. Yes, some are better than others but a diverse range of sports and characters are covered. Range from 1-3 hours long. Particularly enjoyed the Denis Rodman one, Jimmy Connors 'One more time', and many of the Amercian Football episodes. Worth a look to pass the time

Agreed - we recently re-watched this and thought it was great!
Same - it got selected for our weekly Zoom film night and I had forgotten how good it was.

This week we watched On The Basis of Sex about the anti-discrimination legend Ruth Bader Ginsburg. I like these sort of easy to watch biopics - that said, it was a fairly average. 6/10.

Parasite

I lasted 1 hour and 10 minutes before giving up. The most overrated steaming pile of drivel I have ever watched.

0/10 and that's generous.
That's a shame, it all kicks off at 1hr12m wink

We definitely enjoyed it. Good to watch a different type of film with a WTF is that ending smile

Not Oscar winning but well worth watching.

Finally got around to watching Avengers Infinity Wars and Endgame.

i thought the ending was bloody brilliant

The Portals opening was up there "The Ride of the Rohirrim" scene from LOTR IMHO
Agree regarding the ending, there's quite a few vids on YouTube filmed at the Cap America bit in different countries and the audience getting proper pumped and going mental, nothing like when I watched it at the cinema here, think we must be a bit more reserved.

The whole marvel universe was done and linked brilliantly, I'd give each film a 7+ outta 10.
Infinity War and End Game were just an amazing ending to the series.

In contrast to the DC universe which apart from Wonder Woman doesn't compare at all.

In not even sure how the next Marvel phase will top this one.

Weird how Disney got this so right and Star Wars so wrong

Howard The Duck (1986) Blu-ray

For some reason a humanoid-duck's fired through the Galaxy, landing in Cleveland, Ohio. Befriending aspiring rocker, Lea Thompson & zany 'scientist' our hero seeks a way home.

Utter garbage. This was a big budget job produced by Mr Star Wars, George Lucas - fk knows how someone greenlighted, given the ridiculous 'hero', appaling storyline, lazy script & crap effects. Also, who the fk sets a movie in Cleveland!

Bombed at the box office & unsurprinsingly considered one of the worst movies made.

Couple of positives though, '80's Lea Thompson's great, cameo from John Cussack & Lucas snuck Empire & Raiders refs in.

Driven

Watched this last night after reading about it on here . A good mid week film!

Hollywood's version of what happened in the DeLorean fiasco! I remember the news headlines from when I was young and didn't pay too much attention to it as the car in my eyes even then looked rubbish. Nothing like my 3.0 Capri I had!

7 crappy Renault engines/10 flux capacitors.

Highwaymen

A bit slow paced but interesting to see the Bonnie and Clyde story from the lawmen's perspective. 7/10

The Machinist is free on Prime if you've missed it. Christian Bale is an insomniac questioning his sanity, as do you as the story unfolds. 8/10.
