Man with salty hang ups after his 1980s work on mRNA didn't result in a PHD, who then got ****ed over by his peers in the private sector on patents

Yeah, definitely not gonna be bitter about mRNA based vaccines and their relative success. Definitely gonna be impartial and not at all emotionally triggered by the money he's missed out on

It's amusing how he's reported as the "Inventor of mRNA vaccines", when in reality his experiments on suspension of mRNA in lipids are one of many areas of research that eventually led to stable mRNA vaccines decades later.

Still, everyone loves a good boogeyman story.

Have you got any counterparts to any of the points he raised or are you just going to throw out ad-homenem attacks on him in an attempt to deflect discussion?

He came across as very calm, rational and credible to me.

I agree a brilliant podcast and Malone's detractors attack the person not his points. Real red pill stuff.

I listened to him on something else a while back and had the same response.

Another example of an individual that many are mentally incapable of reconciling fairly because he doesn't support the narrative they've bought into, and have to view him through a kind of filter that shifts him into something they can sneer at.

I'll be watching this tonight, I've read a lot about it on JRE reddit and from all your comments.

Do you think if Joe was still publishing full podcasts on YouTube, this episode would be flagged?

Spotify do seem more open, but I'm sure they have a line - we just haven't reached it yet.

Haven’t checked but have heard that every clip has been pulled from YT. Just listened to it on Spotify, fantastic episode and, have to say, sounded credible and reinforced other views and be heard. All subjective, I know

It's been pulled from YouTube? Seriously?
Wow.

No Dr Malone.

I’m not sure what the answer is in terms of bans from social media platforms because on one hand influential people have resulted in this anti-vax movement, with the vast majority spewing pseudo science and people believing them and on the other hand freedom of speech is one of our most important values.

This is a good read on Dr Malone and his position.

I've not heard of Malone before though. Sounds level headed and rational, but will still need to check him out further to ensure he's fully credible. Definitely sounds credible though.
I think you'll discover some significant issues.

Joe is completely cooked. Absolutely shot to bits.

He showed signs of losing the plot for a few years but Covid has really done a number of him. Moved to Austin out of petulance, because he couldn't stand to see people wearing masks. Now no one decent gets on, just the usual conveyer of adjacent Podcast comedians and hangers on. Oh look Tim Dillon again, I'm sure they won't be covering old ground.

His biggest howler however is giving dangerous fools like Bret Ivermectin Weinstein and Rob Malone hours to air out their ste. Without question, people are dying because he's platforming these idiots without the knowledge or inclination to push back against them.

I've not listened to John Abramson yet but guessing it will be another bashing against Pfizer et al. I've enjoyed the recent doctors and do think there's alot of truth buried within the bullst but JR is at risk of putting me off.

I've seen the JFK clip, Stone always comes across as so measured, what else is discussed?

I've not heard of that one. I've heard of Telegram which people seem to be moving to.
Odysee is an alternative to youtube, I try to follow people there, even though every single youtuber I follow says that people don't follow across platforms.

I think at this stage, it's difficult to chose n alternative, there's a fair few that are trying to break the hegemony of youtube/twiter.
This is the problem with all of the online platforms and services - it always seems to be the case that one attains monopoly status through amassing a critical mass of users and even though anyone can set up a service that does the same thing, you need a large userbase to make it work.

GETTR is a pretty good, less censorious version of Twitter but it suffers from mostly being full of people on the right talking politics and little else. There needs to be more generalised discussion about other topics. That said, Twitter is soooo toxic and full of crazy woke types now that I just don't bother with it anyway, never mind my disagreement with their odious policies of censorship.

Same with Rumble/Odysee - they have a lot of people talking right-leaning politics that have been censored from Youtube - but they don't have anything like the breadth of non-political content that Youtube has, plus their app support is miserable conmpared to YT. Odysee doesn't even support any official way to view on a TV and I watch just about all my YT on my TV.
