Ignore me if this is a stupid question, had you picked the hdr 4K version?
For some reason through my tv app it’s almost impossible to find the 4K version and for a while I just watched the normal hd episodes.
Yes I had. Seems really silly to have a 4K and a non-4K version though! For some reason through my tv app it’s almost impossible to find the 4K version and for a while I just watched the normal hd episodes.
Enjoyed the special though as many I watched whilst awaiting the exit polls, the Corbyn digs in the special were fairly well timed!
And if I did, I would t want to watch those three in Anything more than SD.

I enjoyed too. Re scripting/planning - does nobody recall the unscripted/unplanned one they did in the eastern Mediterranean(?)
No, do tell? They seemed to do it as a bit of an “F U” to folk who moan about it being scripted. If I recall correctly nothing went smoothly and the dialogue was pish, and it was actually enjoyable nonetheless

Very much looking forward to the "boats" episode, and I'm really glad they dropped the studio/tent part of the show. It's not for everyone's taste, but the Top Gear USA show dropped their studio component after the 1st series and I really enjoyed the majority of their output thereafter.
Boats though... I totally love Clarkson's choice of a PBR. I've been considering buying and restoring/converting one as a leisure craft for a few years. This episode might be my trigger.
I'm with you on TG:USA as well, 1st season was a little, well... crap TBH. S2 onwards though was great fun.The PBR looked great fun - not £100k's worth of great fun but still.Boats though... I totally love Clarkson's choice of a PBR. I've been considering buying and restoring/converting one as a leisure craft for a few years. This episode might be my trigger.
Was this the best 'road trip'? No, but it was an entertaining 90mins which both Mrs Iroc and I enjoyed, so mission accomplished.
Interesting views. I thought it boring and plodding. And clarkson having a pbr made and lots of pieces to camera about the war made me remember that Amazon is owner by the Americans. Or Septics, as clarkson has called them in the past..
Overall, I didnt think I was the target audience. Shame.

Have to concur. I was looking forward to something that might entertain but it was just boring. Some PBR captain married a nurse he rescued. Yawn. It's like the last 10 minutes "Making of" Attenborough programmes which are funnier and far more interesting. It was as much endurance watching it as it was for them making it. It's just coming to an end now. I'm just as grateful.Overall, I didnt think I was the target audience. Shame.

Highly enjoyable 90 minutes.
If anything it could have done with a bit more sight seeing and more of the “war-doc” stuff. Having been to both Cambodia and Vietnam it was abundantly clear we don’t get taught anything at all about stuff like Pol Pot & Khmer Rouge, the killing fields, S21and what went down in the Vietnam war. It’s incredibly interesting and fraught with very serious history lessons. And it wasn’t all that long ago!
We leave school knowing nothing about it, presumably because it never happened on our doorstep, yet I think it just as important to know about as The world wars. The people are great though, extremely friendly and fun. Our rider in Phnom Penh said the supreme prime minister bloke had been in power 30 years and that he had no intention of giving up. We got the impression he was a bit 9 bob notey as well. They think his son will succeed him. We probably wouldn’t stand for that kind of thing here, but there, of the remaining oldies that managed to stay alive, the only alternative they’ve known was the Khmer Rouge. So a bent prime minister is a small price to pay for not being rounded up and kicked into a shallow mass grave.
Oh Otis, it was almost an interesting post until you let your emotions about the election result ruin it.If anything it could have done with a bit more sight seeing and more of the “war-doc” stuff. Can somebody explain what was presumably a gag behind the frequent showing of the ensign on Clarkson's PBR. It looked like defaced blue ensign of The Cook Islands.
Maybe due a brightly coloured parrot, but I don't get it.
The boat was propelled by NZ Hamilton water jets.Maybe due a brightly coloured parrot, but I don't get it.
One before that a Yanmar etc...
Loved it, don't care if no cars were in it, past is past, there are plenty of car related TV progs about cars, no one is doing what CM&H are doing on TV, they could do a prog about rock climbing or cheese, I'd watch it! I knew nothing about the PBR but do now, and what a great bunch of mates having a laugh and getting paid for it, I'm not envious at all................
'there's no cars in it' fk off will you..........
