Don't Look Up

Starring Professor DiCaprio, US President Streep and Winslet. Following discovery of a monster asteroid heading for earth, this movie shows the stupidity of US citizens when told they have 6 months before collision. Yes, a mediocre comedy but it's 2 hours 18 minutes of my life I won't get back.

I'll save viewers wasting their time by breaking the rule about Spoilers but in this case, the Asteroid strikes earth and couldn't happen soon enough.

2 / 10 - a steaming turd of a movie.
Avoid. No Oscars or Baftas for this one.
Saving viewers the effort of clicking a spoiler tag? Irrespective of the quality of he movie, being too lazy (or thick) to use spoiler tags is plain ignorant.

Re Don't Look Up. It's interesting to see different views here. I really enjoyed it. Watched it twice, with 2 lots of different friends who also enjoyed it.

"Everything's fine" really has a special meaning for us now.

I don't think the above poster spoiled anything with revealing one aspect of the plot which was pretty obvious from the outset. It couldn't have been a story without that bit of it.

Viking Wolf

Nordic werewolf tail (see what I did there)

Some pacing issues but a reasonable Friday night low budget monster flick.

6 nibbled teens out of 10 howls at the moon.

My favourite bit of Don't Look Up, by miles is the recurring joke about being charged for the free drink hehe everything else was a bit meh.

Cheat, Danny Dyer quiz with the comedian Ellie Summat from the Mash Report and Strictly
More amusing than I expected but I doubt anyone will be binging it.

Fall, scared of heights film, not watched it yet but it'll do for tonight

Watched it last night. I really don't like heights. Thought it was quite good but the ending was wrapped up too quickly like they ran out of budget or something. Overall worth a watch I reckon.

Correction - Cate Blanchet not Winslet. Sorry, It was late.
It's a great satire of the modern world, media/politics/tech, I loved it.

The Wonder - English nurse is called to Ireland to witness a child that hasn’t eaten for months, with Florence Pugh, Toby Jones, Ciaran Hinds.

The Good Nurse - Another film about nurses, with Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne.

Both are pretty good. I don’t want to give anything away about the second as I watched it without knowing anything and was glad I did.

I watched it last night. The feeling of vertigo disappeared quite quickly for me, and then it just became a bit silly.

We watched it at the cinema for the max effect, (it certainly work!ed).

I wouldn’t say it was a great film, but certainly a good film and far, far better than many out there.

I know people do climb these towers and similar ridiculously high man-made or natural challenges, but to the normal guy, why the hell would you!

It's beyond me why anyone would do it.

But if they did, I'd like to think they'd be smart enough to take more than 50ft of rope. And possibly a parachute.

When I joined the Royal Navy at 15 we spent a year at HMS Ganges, the mast is 43 metres high, apart from having to climb it once just after we joined, we often climbed up the rigging on Sundays for fun, guess some just like climbing things higher.

Smashing view from the top as well.
