I would argue the skeleton case. There was nothing in the description that said it had to be real or made
Sugar is showing his true colours here. Unclear instructions lead to interpretation. The guys were very smart in their interpretation. Their mistake was defending it in the first instance, rather than attacking the instructions and making Sugar justify the ambiguity.

You can draw a skeleton on a piece of paper and it's a skeleton. If it's life size and anatomically correct then it's a life size anatomical skeleton. The ones used by med students are often a synthetic material so what's the big issue with it being paper?

Taking this show on face value as in looking for a business partner then I wouldn't be impressed if I were Sugar and someone tried to 'game' me.
The idea was good but you're really picking a battle against the bloke you want to work with. Not a good idea.
However I think it could have gone the other way if it was a cheeky chappie who came up with the idea rather then a slick lawyer.

Exactly that Stuart - think of it like a client specification. It will be CLEAR what the spirit of the instruction is, that is to say, what they expect the finished product to be. IMHO that flat pack is not what was specified.
If you come back from that trying to defend yourself on technicalities, you may get away from it in front of the judge, but your client sure as st won't come back.
