It's often difficult to see the difference between W1A and the actual BBC!

Craig Charles has been standing in for Steve Wright again this week-so much better-and some awesome music aswell
Wish he was doing it full time
He is really good...apart from the take over bit where a bored housewife tells us her incredibly uninteresting life story and the music of her memories. Jesus wept.
LOL

Sounds a bit like Head of Values (Music)

Complete tosh. I have downloaded the Sounds App on both my phone and iPad, but have drifted back to the radio iPlayer as I could not find anything extra that I really wanted to listen to.

Not into either saving the rainforest or NB, both of which are being plugged to death on the radio at the moment.

I think this is a very telling paragraph. Particularly the last sentence.

"We’ve made a great start with more than 2 million app downloads and brilliant new music mixes and podcasts like Forest 404, That Peter Crouch Podcast and Obsessed With Line of Duty. In just one year, our monthly downloads have gone up by 4m to 24m. "

Returned to the car in the station car park at 17:15 and someone was going on about getting her nails done because it was her husbands birthday. She managed to string this story out for several minutes however once I had the chance I swapped to Magic and listened to some music.

For all you "Good Morning Vietnam" fans - Steve Wright reminds me of Lt. Steven Hauk. He sucks the sweat from a dead man's balls...

I actually use the phrase "Ah, that sucks the sweat" on a regular basis hehe

I've given up on most forms of radio now, and if I do tune into anything it'll be the BBC world service

Podcasts and spotify make me less angry. Heart makes my piss boil - a constant rotation of Pink, Ed Sheeran and more Ed steran

Oddly enough, I made a comment on that saying "will this remove Steve Wright" or words to that effect - A comment that has not been published...

Wright must know where the bodies are buried. How else does he get to own the time-slot (and by that I mean all the links, incidental music and features which he and his family collect royalties for over and above his salary).

Have all but stopped listening to Radio 2. My day now consists of Chris Evans on Virgin, then over to Simon Mayo on Scala Radio, give it a go, in the afternoon a mix of 5 Live (although snowflake Nihal Arthanayake makes it easy to give it a miss until 4pm) and Radio 4, dependant on a good afternoon drama, but since it's launch I'm finding I'm staying tuned more to Scala Radio, excellent for reducing stress levels.

Much the same here, Popmaster and Sarah Cox is all I listen to these days. Five Live at breakfast and Simon Mayo when I get the chance - very good show.

Radio 2's usually on at home most of the day as my wife's "Chief of Domestic Operations".
It's only on for (late) breakfast on Saturdays with the end of Dermot, beginning of Graham - and it usually stays on for the duration of his show, but during the week it's usually only on for Ken and Sarah. As soon as Sarah finishes the Radio 2's switched off.

(Quite often listen to BBC R4 comedy stuff, which is usually 7:30-8:00pm for us. smile )

I'm convinced Jeremy Vine is often on the wind up and today he must have had a bet with someone to get a phrase into an interview. He had Chris Packham on as a guest discussing the disappearance of two Golden Eagles in Scotland. He ended the interview with and there is a cross Chris hehe

I've said it before, I don't think a lot of people realise he's taking the piss half the time.

Why is Steve Wright paid so much? It's not even as if he does the Sunday morning show...

That and he's a massive tool. Urgh. Won't somebody think of the children??

Probably because he applied for a job proved his success over a period of time and negotiated his value.
Then refused to take a pay cut.

This whole exercise of reducing top stars salary has simply meant that they combined are higher by £2m....
