I enjoyed it . Anti vaxxing is often an issue in the news and Daniel is exactly the right Generation Z to rely on some crackpot influencer on Instagram for information . It has moved on from Ena Sharples supping stout in the snug - it couldn't stay there for ever.
Except IMHO it wasn't an anti-vaccing story. Daniel was just being a soft parent - his baby was crying with discomfort and fear and he chickened out of the second vaccination. Just being a wuss.nicanary said:

Agreed. It as all about what a prat he is plus his self pity. When Ken asked him he said he didn't believe the rubbish about not vaccinating. Can't stand the whinging all the time from him and Fiz. If they put a bit more energy into doing something rather than whinging they might get there. Corrie seems to have lost the plot about being entertaining. I know it can't be happy and funny all the time but just lately it seems to be an overdose of moaning and whinging.Caught last night's social engineering storyline attempt at trying to label anyone who's against vaccines as dangerous and irresponsible and not to be taken seriously, when in fact a growing number of people have legitimate reasons to be concerned about them. The actors and writers of these shows know nothing about these things. Then they thrown in the "they're like flat earthers and climate change deniers" remark.

Just being a wuss. What next? Tim and Steve discussing the influence of Huawei on the proposed 5G network? HS2 resulting in houses being demolished near Inkerman Street?

I think it has strong elements of anti vacc,(as well as his general all at sea nature ) - there were mentions of stuff on the internet etc. I really don't mind the Street being used for some social messages in moderation - shows like this still have huge influence . I look forward to the first XR cast member - my bet it won't be Kirky . But Amy or Summer ...?
The problem is, it is not IN MODERATION. It is every episode with the cast bleating on about one social issue and another. I used to like it when the majority was entertainment with the odd serious issue appearing. It's like the writers sit down each week and top of the agenda is which social issue can we introduce next. How about reducing the effects on Global Warming by less hot air coming out of the cast!

I think the scriptwriters are spot on. There are no legitimate reasons to be concerned about them, these crackpots are dangerous and irresponsible, and they are very much like flat earthers and climate change deniers. TwigtheWonderkid said:
