The return of Norris drama was yet another example of how, when it is on form , Coronation Street is on another level to any soap rival . Whoever wrote the script was including a brilliant nod to Samuel Beckett's play, Waiting for Godot. But this time Norris turned up, unlike Godot.

And yes, I am being entirely serious - it is(or can be ) that good !

Bonking Beth looks happy lol.
Deaf woman story has jokes a plenty to come with Mary !
Forgot to add, is it me or have they put up wanted posters of Carla right outside her home and street she lives in, bit pointless really? Every one in the street knows her!

Life does not exist beyond the boundaries of the street. It's a micro-culture which nothing or nobody can intrude. Carla has actually fallen over the edge of the earth - here be dragons.

PS Ryan is a typical "lad". He could well finish up with no girl friend at all. Trying to please everyone never works.

I imagine it akin to Dark City

I thought last night was a terrific return to form - no police , no fire, no crashing trains but a razor sharp script which made most of the cast up their game .

Disagree. She’s much better than a lot of them (and much better looking smile)

" Brendan, is that you?" biggrin

Good cliffhanger there - who was Robert meeting?

I don't think we'll ever know. No explanation yet as to who he was meeting in the hotel.

Meanwhile, in true soap style, Carla ran all of 100 yards to hide when she was attempting an escape. There was a tram station nearby.

Carla's eyebrows looked rather perfect. A month on the run suffering pretty strong mental health issues. Still got time for the beauty salon....

It was S who noticed, her background is the beauty industry. The line she said was 'no f'ing way are those eyebrows untouched for a month!'

I stood next to "Carla" at Manchester airport once, waiting to board a plane, she's tiny.

My best friend was at a wedding some years ago, where she was Matron Of Honour. He said exactly that.

Where exactly is this mysterious entrance/exit to Roy's flat? It's not the first time someone has managed to appear without going past the staff in the cafe.

Steve has got through £20k in a few months without Tracy noticing? Run Steve, run!
