yes

Unless I'm in a cinema I can't watch a film without also playing with my phone these days.

The Pact 4/10. Slow moving horror with a rather unsatisfying ending in that its finishes with a whimper rather than a bang.

Anonymous 7.5/10. Quite an intriguing storyline. If you like the cut ' n' thrust of The Tudors TV series you'll like this.

Apparently, Shakespeare was an illiterate fool...

Lars von Trier's Melencholia. Utter waste of 2+ hours. I love pseuds corner style films but this takes it to another level. Self indulgent faux nihilist bks. .5 out of 10 although the musical score was very stirring.

The Raid - Subtitled film set in Jakarta. Pure non stop, edge of your seat, action. Best action film I've seen in a while.

Dark Shadows - Tim Burton flick. Really enjoyable family film.

How I Spent My Summer Vacation - Another surprise winner of a film. Worth a watch.

Prometheus -8/10.

Well worth a watch.

Far from a classic but a good film which kept me interested to the end. Some good performances and visuals are great. script and some of the casting should have been better as didn't do the project justice.

Crying out for a sequel.
Good man, I knew I'd not be alone in enjoying it.
I thought it was alright - didn't grate as much as I was led to believe but there were a few very daft bits.

not sure if this belongs here as it is a 4 part mini series but all together its just under 3 hours long so can be watched all in one go and more importantly well worth a mention

The Take - set in the 80's Tom Hardy is Freddie, just released from prison after doing time for armed robbery he is determined more than ever to rise to the top through the criminal underworld in East London. With his younger more timid cousion Jimmy hot on his heels wanting to earn some big money the pair go in search of that big job, only problem is Freddie is a complete coked up loose cannon who will stop at nothing to get what he wants

Not what i would call easy viewing, it is dark and gritty and very emotional but with someone like Tom Hardy as the main role its nearly impossible not to be taken in by this and to not watch it all in one go. Compare this to his role in Inception and you cant help but be blown away by just how good an actor this man is.

Of course fans of films like Lock Stock and The Firm etc will love this, but its not just another cockney ganster flick it goes one step further and shows the emotional side aswell

overall simply superb TV/ film (if you ignore the credits)
9/10

This is true in as much as its a film with the same actors in where someone gets taken. Apart from this it isn't anything like as good as the original. Seriously don't bother.

Ah thank you! I have to say, I don't venture into this section too often so I missed that one.

Don't think I will bother, the first one was brilliant so I was a bit sceptical as to whether the second one would live up to it.
