Upon seeing the Channel 4 "climate crisis" advert for the first time, my first thought was how that passed the standards test.
This ^^^^.

Sorry to use a real old man word but it is utterly disgraceful, especially as they seem to be showing it at any time they fancy including when I am eating my dinner.

But environment, mkah?
One things for certain

It ain't going to be balanced

It seems to be predicated on capitalism being inherently evil and that just stopping oil will result in sunlit uplands, or something. Simplistic and biased doesn't begin to cover it.

I sent a viewer complaint about that disgusting trailer to Channel 4 this afternoon and received the following reply this evening:

"Thank you for contacting Channel 4 Viewer Enquiries.

Thank you for your email regarding the Channel 4 trailer for the Climate Change Season. The premise of this campaign is to raise awareness for an upcoming series of programmes dedicated to exploring the impact of the climate crisis. The series forms part of Channel 4’s on-going commitment to inform the public's awareness and understanding of this urgent global issue.

Please be assured we do take all comments seriously and will ensure your concerns with regards the content of this trailer are passed on to those responsible for our marketing and promotional output.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact us. We appreciate all feedback from our viewers; complimentary or otherwise."

Crikey , what sensitive , easily offended souls . It was meant to make a splash , get people talking - that's the point. Or is the fact that the lizard people who run the world and have made up climate change are behind it ? Eek.

Report it to ofcom. I did the other day. I don't think it shouldn't be on TV.
Think there may be a spelling error there or a parrot
Sorry. I meant to write, I don't think it should be on TV.

Maybe that's the problem; they try to make a splash and further infantilise an already pantomime-level debate rather than treat it like the important subject it is.

Or seemingly continually sitting at the kitchen table reviewing their policy. What for? It's term insurance, a fixed payment for a fixed payout over a fixed period. There's nothing to review, unless one has the memory of a goldfish.

Someone should tell him that Branston baked beans are way better! Mind you, given his reaction to losing his Heinz beans, maybe not, he'd be topping himself! Oh, hang on! wink

I thought it funny myself until you spot the daft premise. He's staying in a hotel and using their eating facilities / restaurant, why would he need his own baked beans? Was he going to ask them to heat them up for him? wink

He was crying because he had to resort to using the hotel restaurant, perhaps.

Not saying it's a good advert but...

Misleading advert for Heinz chicken soup, when it is poured a few “chunks” of chicken are seen, nothing like what you buy, small slivers of chicken that you can barely taste.

Best chicken soup is M and S at least you get some chicken

Following the current trend of using people with unique features to advertise their products, in an effort to be as inclusive to as many 'normal' women as possible, it looks like Schwarzkopf Live have recruited the cast for their hair colorant from Mooses R Us ....
