he is a fking unfunny joke but the wedding singer is great.
yes out of the 50 odd films he has been funny in a couple. It is like a parallel universe, Netflix giving him hundreds of millions to make st films.

i dont like his seeming need to shout most of the time.

Best bit is usually rob schneider "you can do it. Cut his fking head off!"

Weirdly he's actually a very tame and quiet person now.

We were doing some filming with him and straight after they cut, he'd be wondering around by himself almost looking for people to want to talk to him. Really nice guy but I couldn't help but think he's a very different person now to how he was ala big daddy etc.

Late to the party, but Norsemen is very funny. smile
I wish they’d make a third series.
They have, coming out early this year thumbup

Another strong endorsement here. Norsemen is right up there with the best modern sitcoms IMO.
Just been watching Norsemen off the back of these recommendations, absolutely loving it!
Definitely a hidden gem, I always thought it was a serious vikings rip off as id never tried it or watched any clips, it was a Norwegian colleague that recommended it to me.

Looking forward to the next season!
If you like Norsemen, lilyhammer is also very good. Made by the same people and some of the same cast.

Tried watching Uncut Gems this evening but had to switch it off after 15 minutes. The sound was abysmal - lots of people talking at the same time, music playing too loud to actually hear any dialogue. Awful.

Or maybe I'm just getting old and this is the film equivalent of "that's not music, that's just noise".
Watched last night, agree 100%. Utterly awful experience.
Also watched last night and I'm shocked we're in the minority. That opening scene got me quite excited - I thought it was going to be another 'Blood Diamond' type film, but it was all downhill from there. Only redeeming factor was the discovery of Julia Fox's arse.

2/5.
hehe

I agree, that scene was worth watching it for!
Had to turn this off when everyone was shouting and behaving irrationally at the same time. Went back to it and saw it out. The only film that has annoyed me, and had me rooting for the baddies. The second part was better and the ending - didn’t see that coming although it should have come sooner. The acting is first class, and the press critics loved it, Oscar-tipped. Bizarre film. Probably a future classic.
Not sure what this says about me but I thought it different, indeed brilliant.
I know what you all mean about the beginning. The music at the beginning was unbelievably irritating. I persevered with the film, I think it’s genius - the nervous energy and chaos just flows constantly. Extremely weird, but I actually enjoyed it.

Are you talking about the 2015 Australian mini series?
Thought it was really good, gritty drama about life at a poor neighbourhood high school

This review captures it perfectly - spoiler free.

Binged the last 4 episodes of the The Stranger last night.
Enjoyed it but as is typical of these type of things it all got very convulouted and you end up going "as if" but an enjoyable watch.

One of his best is the little known "Reign Over Me" - a great little film with Don Cheadle in the supporting role.

I binged the whole of series 1 (8 episodes) yesterday evening/night following recommendations on this thread.
Really enjoyed it, although stayed up a little later than originally planned - too tempting to just watch one more.. smile

The Pharmacist, I don’t know why but the man and the story struck a real chord with me. I don’t want to give it a 10/10 but giving it a 9.5 seems cynical.

Dan: hi this is dan Schneider
DEA officer on phone: alright dan, we are not being recorded again are we?
Dan: no (keeps recorder running)......

Must view telly if you like documentaries.

I watched The Darkest Hour last night, thoroughly enjoyed it, Gary Oldman played a fantastic Churchill.

I didn't really watch the trailer so didn't realise it wasn't in English.
Will await for a couple of positives first then.
Cracking on with the stranger tonight. 3 episodes in and so far I'm hooked.

Just finished it. Once you get past the dubbing it’s excellent.
