Yeah. It's been on there for years, and it's been repeated for years. I'd expect a period where it's non watchable, to bump dvd sales, specially as there was a whiff of a sour note at the end.
It'll be back one day.

INteresting. THere's been a few tiny rumours of actors having misgivings. I'd like to be at that drink when Cersei has had a few. biggrin

Actors having a say in script and storylines is the thin edge of the wedge.
THat's been going on from day dot, and the feedback from the actor in situ is a valuable tool, many great things have come from it. WHat is written on the page isn't always workable, or makes sense. And that's not even getting into the best actors who know their craft well and are producers, writers and directors.

Harrison wanted SOlo to die in TESB, and it would have made more sense and made the story stronger, unfortunately LUcas wanted him to survive and do not much in ROTJ.

Guinness also had major input into what Obi Wan did, I think he won that one.

Of all the child actors in GoT, I think Turner is by far the most over rated.

Dark Pheonix seems to back that opinion up - although with any luck it'll mean they finally give up on the tortuous X Men universe and let it properly integrate into the MCU.
THe word is that it'll be 10 years before the X-Men re-emerge, if ever. DP being a flop has helped that.

Going back to understand the White Walkers, their motivations, etc. COULD massively improve my feelings about the last season of GoT.
Utter guesswork, but maybe since the first prequel was tired to that, it was a knot that couldn't be undone. Maybe the GoT finale ruined it too much for the test audiences?

For those interested, two of the yters I watch have takes on it.
Also, seems the other prequel is going full series straight away, and will be a flagship in the new HBO Max...which is gonna roll the dc streaming thing into itself.

I wonder who got cold feet?

Scenario A - B & W get offered a gig by Netflix, realise the Star Wars franchise has effectively been flushed down the toilet by Kennedy\Disney so jump ship.

Scenario B - Disney realise B &W aren't actually as talented as everyone thought and might not be the one's to save Star Wars so drop them.

Or it could be a mixture of both. Would be interesting to know what went on in the background.

Also the first video with Grace seems to indicate Kennedy is on shaky ground, I really do hope so. She should never be allowed near a major franchise again. She did not get Star Wars AT ALL.
I just watched a vid by den of nerds. As fans, the cool thing is, we get to hear all this stuff now, like we never could ten years ago. SOmething has gone on, with D&D, whether it was their comments at the writers thing they went to, or the fact that GoT bombed.
From every video I've watched, the scuttle is that the only reason KK is still there is because no-one else wants the job, JJ Abrams was offered it apparently. And now Feige is coming in as a 'special adviser.'

With the exception of Amazon's The Boys, HBO deliver my fave programmes; Silicon Valley and Barry. The Watchmen looks like it might be something rather good...Westworld...well, it looked good.

edit
as for the one prequel pilot being ditched, and the other prequel being greenlight with no pilot...I reckon GRR being a producer on the latter has had an effect, HBO don't want another D&D ststorm, and they probably also think the whole whit walker thing is now dead as a dodo, thanks to D&D

My faves are series 1-3. Series 4 has extremely good moments, with some deviations. Fifth series it goes wonky with still a few good bits, series 6 they realise they've cocked up and try to reset everything with 1 maybe 2 glimmers of what was great about it. 7 and 8 are just plain bad.
