Series hasn't disappointed and thrown up some expected and unexpected things.

Greg and Alex continue to irritate with their bromance wierdness and stuff that's not that funny.

Steve Pemberton as expected, smart, lateral thinker, particularly appreciate his intermittent "going to wind up Greg" tactics.

Nick Mohammed, maybe playing a persona or is he really just an odd little man. Never know with this crowd.

Fave contestant, Sophie Willan. All sorts of reasons.

Joanne McNally. Nah batst mentalist and Irish just for extra batst.

John wossisname. Grey man. Who?

Quite like the 'Oirish' lass. All in all, I'm enjoying this series!

Shes a bit like bob Mortimer in that she can come up with some outlandish statement and even though you know it's rubbish part of you thinks it could be true.

I went to the filming of the Series 18 Grand Final last night, we all had to pinky promise we wouldn't say who was on it or who won the series.
Did you enjoy it?

We went to episode 4 of the next series a week or so ago, it was great fun. Greg interacted with the audience the most (apart from the warm up guy) but both Greg and Alex were both very funny. Managed to get a seat on the side balcony which was great.

I got an email from the SRO folks yesterday offering me 2 tickets for last night. Sadly could not make it (picked up the email too late) frown

My top tip for anyone going to any future filming is to get there early. They over subscribe the tickets to ensure all seats are filled, 30 people were turned away as they had reached the studio capacity. We arrived at Pinewood at about 3pm and waited in the visitors car park, at about 3:45 we were told to move into the studio audience car park where we waited until 4pm to be escorted to the waiting area. My wife and I were 19 and 20 in the queue and were given yellow wristbands to wear, people arriving were given a mixture of purple and white wristbands. It transpired purple were for those that had been turned away previously and white for general admission.

Filming took about 3hrs and 30 minutes but Greg and Alex did have record some segments for previous shows that they had cocked up. They also recorded some bits for an event that is coming up in the summer!!

It was really entertaining, I am a massive fan of the show and loved every minute of it, I even became a recurring part of the warm up comedians act throughout the evening. Greg and Alex had definitely had a few drinks before filming started.

Absolutely loved it. Greg interacted with us the most, but Alex was a very close second. We were up in the balcony as well on the left hand side of the stage, turns out that was what the yellow wristbands were for.

Not going to name the contestants, but four I knew and one I didn't. Turns out after googling them after, I had seen them in stuff before, just didn't know it was them.

Thoroughly recommend going and watching it being filmed, just make sure you get there early.

Yep, well not be bothering with the next series as neither of us can stand her for more than 5 seconds.

The first four contestants revealed, I thought it was going to be an amazing return to form.

Then Rosie Jones.

Oh well.

It will be interesting to see if the ratings drop as a result.

I bet she wins the series.

Yep next series is an avoid. I'm clearly a bad person in this virtue signalling world but this could signal the end of Taskmaster for me.

I hope for their sake it's an utterly brilliant series and a total success, but will absolutely not be watching.

Lots of reaction to the next set of contestants but no comment on the final?

I thought it ended on a great set of tasks. Laugh of the episode for me came from Steve's reading of the live task card.

I had Steve pegged as winner early on - he remains my favourite contestant of the series - but John a worthy winner and ran away with it in the end.

Agreed. Thought Steve would steal the show early doors - his creativity was fantastic & funny.

Glad John won (as an long term podcast listener he kept a lid on his competitive and pedantic nature - so I had a feeling he'd win in the end)

Great group.

An enjoyable series, I'm still in awe over the lack of reflections.

There have been previous line-up announcements where I've been quite "meh" but it's turned out well, I'm not sure if Jack Dee will be similar to Jo Brand in some ways and play the "cant be arsed" angle, I hope not as I like him.

RJ will presumably influence the way a lot of the tasks will be created to ensure they're inclusive enough to have a level playing field, it could be interesting and with editing at hand hopefully not too tedious.
