This is quite a fun channel: https://www.youtube.com/@c90adventures

Brit who lives in America doing silly adventures on unsuitable vehicles. Just watched his series where he's travelling 1000 mile offroad through Utah on a 125cc kids ride-on jeep. Not high-brow, but I found it quite amusing and really shows the "can do" attitude you get across the pond.

Good Lord! That second video gave me nausea - why does she shake and wave the camera around so much? It's like Stradman on speed.

And no, I won't be watching Mr JWW regurgitate a thesaurus while being paid by Aston Martin to nosh them off.
Your hate is palpable!
Is anything I said untrue? He talks like he's being paid by the word, and has a commerical agreement with Aston Martin. Nothing untrue there.
James understands the ethos of Aston Martin though!

This is the camera she uses and is holding somehow while driving the Aventador with the other hand!

He was getting over 1m views per video and then appears to have given up. His last video was 8 months ago. I wonder what happened.

He's always been sporadic, only really posts videos when he's off on an adventure. Doesn't seem to do anything in between.

He spent some time with YTer Itchy Boots when they were dating, and rode from Alaska to Mexico (or something).

Then tried the Autocar review as I relaly rate Matt Prior, but holy crap the audio is absolutely dreadful just like it has been on previous vids.
They're using what looks to me like a very cheap lavalier microphone, and then compensating for the poor quality recording by going very aggressive on vocal isolation in their edit software. That's why he sounds like he's nearly underwater in many of the shots.

Issues like these do somewhat highlight how important it is to be multi-skilled if you want to attempt video production as a one-man band. It is why people who are used to having teams around them will always struggle in the transition to YouTube. There is no reason for more than one video to ever be like this - after the first one you either send Matt on a course to learn the skills, or make sure he always gets sent out with a helper!

No idea who these guys are, but the fact that they bought two cheap Army surplus Hummers and immediately took them on a roadtrip got my attention. I won't spoil too much, but their mechanicking skills are VERY impressive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfq1gyVIYEA

I saw the first one the other day. Brilliant. Also, the fact the nearest hardware store had a transmission plate for a military-pec Hummer was very impressive.

Anyone else ever try and follow the routes these various channels take on Google maps? The Barstow depot (for example) with all of the surplus vehicles is huge.

Especially in a market as competitive as YouTube, audience expectations are exceedingly high these days.

It must be difficult to reset after having a team handling everything.

That was an excellent watch, thanks!

Bit perplexed by the final ep - 'now I'm finally going full time with the channel' then nothing.

Although looking at most recent comments he said yesterday the next adventure is ready to post, he's just looking for a video sponsor.

I never understand why he doesn’t make enough money to do it full time, he gets loads of views

Are his videos monetised? I have premium so can't tell, but I imagine with the swearing and the knob jokes they aren't?
