Essentially a film about "African American World War II fighter pilots, and the prejudice that they had to face to fight for their country. These Tuskegee Airmen became known as the Red Tails, and George Lucas was working away on a script for the film, to tell a fictional story surrounding them."
Lots of WWII CGI air battles. B-17s, P-40s, P-51s, Me-109s and Me-262s.

This looks very good, even if its going to be a remake of the old movie 'Tuskegee Airmen'.
Despite the plethora of WW2 movies out in the past decade, its been a long time since we had war film about aircraft from what I can remember, and judging by the trailer, its definately one to be seen in the cinema!

I trust that there'll be no use of the word 'nigga' seeing as it's not permitted in Dambusters?
Could be good, however the CGI looks too fake, almost computer game like
Yes, I'm not convinced that every plane would have been spotlessly clean, as shown there.Could be good, however the CGI looks too fake, almost computer game like
I'm less certain about the *numbers* depicted. Were there really that many in the air at the same; that close together? My memories of old black and white war movies suggests not.

They werent called thousand bomber raids for no reason.
February 20 1944. Eighth Air Force put up over 1,000 B-17s and B-24s and over 800 fighters and the RAF provided sixteen squadrons of Mustangs and Spitfires.
The next day, over 900 bombers and 700 fighters of Eighth Air Force hit more aircraft factories in the Braunschweig area.
On February 24, with the weather clearing over central Germany, Eighth Air Force sent over 800 bombers, hitting Schweinfurt and attacks on the Baltic coast, with a total of 11 B-17s being lost.
So yeah, they raids could be very big at times, and then the areas hit during the day by the USAAF were hit by night by the RAF.

Is it me or just the cgi just really obviously look like cgi? Don't think ILM have learnt anything since the last Star Wars from looking at that.
I don' think its the GC quality that is the problem. Our minds cannot fathom that many planes and bombers that close together as we've never seen anything like it in real life.
Yet 60 years ago, it was a normal bombing raid.
