confessional: I prefer 5th gear

5th gear is a show about cars, which is fair enough. Top Gear is an entertainment show which people who dont like/know anything about/own cars will still enjoy, its a laugh. Completely different shows i dont see whats the point in comparing them.

Personally i prefer burning caravans, flaming HGV's, fleeing from rednecks, bank jobs in Albania etc to boring babble about cars. If i need to know boring babble im sure i can find it.

There was a thread recently which would meet such needs perfectly.

"Hybrid vs diesel" was the title.

Jesus cagefighting Christ was that dull.

However I am a motoring enthusiast so maybe my perspective is skewed. Were I an earth firster or an accountant clearly I would have been nursing a whole 3" of turgidity at such a debate.

Also, 5th Gear ftw.

I prefer top gear, but I also like 5th gear. Ohhhhh.......feel dirty..

Some bits of 5th Gear are very good, some are hugely irritating though. Namely a couple of the presenters and I hate some of the comparisons where they don't swap vehicles.... so the end result is pretty pointless.


My current favourite car show would actually be watching Top Gear Australia on Youtube, although I do quite enjoy the Motor Week reviews too.
