Just read that the new series of Wheeler Dealers is starting on the 20th of March.

Throughout the series they're working on the following cars;

Fiat Dino
Morgan +4
BMW M5
Renault Alpine A310
Porsche 914
Mercedes-Benz G-Class
Jaguar XK8

Looking forward to it biggrin

I look forward to numerous tales of automotive derring do, un-necessary and highly expensive gearbox swaps and convenient creation of "profit" through convenient ignorance of the simple expedient of not paying labour costs.

It will probably be on the main Discovery channel to start with (520 on Sky).

so you've never worked on a car yourself then? You've never seen this and thought "I can do that- buy a car, enjoy it, work on it, do the odd repair, save a car and make a bit of profit/cover my costs at the end of it"? No?

Oh well then. You probably take the whole show too seriously. You do know that its edited: it doesnt all happen in 1 hour, dont you??

The bodywork repairs I'd have to take down to my friendly bodyshop.

Interior I could have a go at - would I have the patience.....
Detailing I'd say paying someone £70-150 to properly detail a car is the best investment you could make when looking to sell

Engine bit and bobs I'd like to try that out.

Brakes love to do that - mind you every car I'd buy I'd stick a new set of pads and discs plus brake fluid change.
I'd also get track rod ends and change all the bushes again for a matter of course.
Full service filters oil fuel air new oil new spark plugs and coolant change.
On the higher mile cars or older cars change thermostat
Would chuck on a new set of tyres too.
Full 12 months MOT

Having done all that I'd have to admit I'd run it for a year maybe two then flog it tyres half used and halfway through the pads.

I just like having cars kept in tip top condition would only buy interesting stuff too.
