Can someone explain to me how the clock-stopping, 'pass me the bucket' freak is able to get roles in films? Apparently the 46 year old is starring in a new film as a struggling mother, with proper actors such as Pierce Prosnan and Greg Kinnear.

This picture is 2 years old, the situation is even worse now.

Sorry, what? confused

We're talking about the proper actor that you may remember from such milestones as Remington Steele, Lawnmower Man, and Dante's Peak?
You won't have seen The Matador then, treat in store for you there (Greg Kinnear is in it too).

Seriously Tonks old boy, what the hell do you read that SJP invades your life so much?
It could be that professing an interest in SJP etc is part of his scoring technique. A bit like taking an interest in astrology. My observations indicate that pretending to be a bit gay will get you plenty of interest from females.

There really is a Sarah Jessica Parker Phenomenon - which is why it makes men so angry that they don't fancy her?! I don't think she's ever made herself out to be a particular beauty, and isn't really pitched at the male market. Even in interviews, she is polite and charming but not flirty with the interviewer like, for example, Megan Fox types.

So, why is that a lot of men get so very, very angry at her for not being beautiful enough?! She can hardly be mentioned without a Very Angry Man venting at how she's-ugly-and-he'd-never-sleep-with-her-so-there. So what? She's rarely even in films or television pitched at men. It's like women getting extremely cross because Jeremy Clarkson isn't good looking enough so how dare he be on television. So what? Watch some telly aimed at blokes and have a wk. smile
I agree, it's quite bizarre behaviour. I don't find her even slightly attractive but the most emotion I can muster is indifference.
But enough emotion to post on the subject though? smile

But it's not bizarre behaviour at all. I couldn't care less if she lived or died, what annoys me is I keep seeing photographs of her ghastly face when I am going about my everyday business. If it isn't on bus shelters it's to the side of some otherwise perfectly ordinary and acceptable web page, the Telegraph for instance.

There's plenty of ugly people in the world, but I don't have their image pushed in front of me in situations where one might reasonably expact to see faces which, if not entirely to my taste, are at least not as offensively ugly as SJP.
