Bond 23 - Skyfall
Discussion
It's official. Bond 23 will be called Skyfall. Empire magazine are at the press conference now.
Cast:
Sam Mendes directs.
Daniel Craig as 007 (obviously)
Dame Judi Dench as M
Naomie Harris -Moneypenny
Bernice Marlohe - Bond girl called Severin
Albert Finney - unknown role
Ralph Fiennes - unknown role
Javier Bardem - Villain
Excited? Yep.
Now more pertinent to PH - what car will he be driving?
I think Aston still have the contract, so i'd like to see him in the Virage. NOT A BLOODY CYGNET.
If not an Aston, maybe an early appearance for the production version of the jag C-X16...

Maybe so. i thought both movies were too "dark". Bond had no class what so ever. to me bond is cheesy one liners, gadgets and sleeping with the hot chick. i mean he didn’t even have sex with the girl in QoS because he was so emotionally fked up from CR! What the hell is that about? Plus Daniel Craig is an utter douche bag of the highest degree.
I think Daniel Craig's Bond is more like the Bond in the books. What we were used to is the cheesy Bond from earlier films, which isn't how Flemming wrote him.DC is actually a very cool and very nice chap. Met him in a boozer in London a couple of years ago and he just chatted away.
I may have missed a bit in this long thread, but do we actually know what Bond is driving in Skyfall?
I know we've seen him in a DB5 and there are Jag XJs being filmed along with Range Rovers, but is he in an Aston?
I would guess that given when its coming out it could be an all new car? Maybe the DBS replacement?
Or have they gone for the XKR? Oooh, speculation...

Watched it tonight, absolutely fantastic film.
Loved the action, the interplay between Bond and M and Feines was good too.
Particiularly loved the way that they linked to the rest of the franchise with M, Moneypenny and the iconic leather door at the end.
Sad to see Dench go, though they were already stretching the believability of her approaching retirement when she's 77...

My take was that it was a wig, for the same reason as he had dentures.
Also, was it just me or was the CGI that masked out his real teeth atrocious?
No, not just you. That bit really did grate a little - for such a close up shot it should have been perfect - like TwoFace in the Dark Knight. Instead it was really poor. Also, was it just me or was the CGI that masked out his real teeth atrocious?
I assumed the hair and eyebrows were supposed to be wigs as well, due to the cyanide.

Mind you I do quite like the idea of each generation having someone called James Bond, you could set Bond films in almost any era rather like Blackadder.
Imagine an Elizabethan Bond, sent off to spy on the Spanish armada with the aid of an underwater stagecoach and wearing a rocket firing codpiece.
