I'm sure over the years I've caught a glance of a thread about this chap, but I genuinely don't know about how he is perceived. I've recently caught a few of his programmes including Worst Case Scenario and that survival one, and think they make pretty good entertainment.
I don't know how credible all the SAS stuff is, but he seems like a pretty knowledgeable chap, although at times can take things a bit too far.
What does everyone on here think? I did search for those threads I thought I'd glanced, but nothing turned up.

Not as tough as his cameraman. Like Ginger Rogers, who could do everything Fred could do, but backwards in high heels.
I was always curious about the cameraman/team. Do they have to eat sea cucumbers and rotting flesh? Or have they got a plentiful supply of lion bars and lucozade?I was quite partial to his American show about extreme scenarios.
He was at the Theatre Royal in Nottingham last week and I did want to go but tickets were £40 each regardless of where you sat. I wasn't prepared to pay £80 for me and my girlfriend.
What does he do while he is on tour? A lecture about his experiences or does he do other things?
