I can't actually think of one, or at least the last one I watched on my sky box.
I know I deleted Gross Point Blank because I didn't wanna watch what J Cusack calls acting.

But this is to take the place of the 'good' films and 'bad' films I watched thread.

biggrin

I thought it was alright.

Yeah, it's an alright film, but Cusack never changes from film to film. It can get on my tits in the wrong mood.

Just re-watched Dredd for the first time in ages and again feel hugely gutted it will never get a sequel. What they achieved on such a relatively small budget (<£30 million) is amazing. I blame Stallone...
Yeah, Dredd was brilliant. One of the best comic-book films out there. Like a modern Robocop.

J Cusack.... would that be Joan or John Cusack?

They're both in the film in pretty much the two main roles!
I had forgotten about, Joan. I think she is rather good.

THe World's Fastest Indian is on this arvo. biggrin

The Naked Gun - The jokes have got old, they're all awful anyway but this is still a million times funnier than anything Adam Sandler or Seth Rogen have ever done. 8/10 (1 out of 10 for the jokes x 1000)
I still love the jokes from the Naked Gun (and Police Squad and Airplane!) biggrin

Hue and Cry one of the Ealing Comedies that is repeated fewer times than the others, easy to see why, but it still has a certain charm.

I can see why Wonderman isn't repeated as much as the big Kaye vehicles. Too many boring and repetitive dance numbers, and Kaye gets tedious and irritating after a while, this isn't Walter Mitty.

Firefox. Haven't seen that film for some years. It was hacked to pieces. But still a very long film.
Love the denouement, which lasts for roughly the last third. I watched it twice.
This would be good for a modern remake.

I think Jamie and Toby have both been slipstreamed by Eddie Redmayne.

I watched Gamechangers....to me it had a first take quality to it. I don't rate Radcliffe, but I love Paxton...I watched to the end though...so something worked there.

Very funny that rockstar wish to sue.

2012, vaguely enjoyable hokum. Parts of it were irritating, parts of it were decent. The last bit wit the ships was better.

sadly watched Smokey and the Bandit 2 yesterday evening... let's just say it's a LOT closer to 3 than 1 frown
yes
Mostly awful...has a few moments.
Not even the grand finale was as good as I thought it would be.
Basially the best way to view it is to just watch all of Jackie Gleeson's great put-downs.

It was funny to hear the ex-members admit the stuff they did from the last Scientology documentary, the one where that BBC reporter loses it! biggrin

Bill. The Horrible Histories guys version of Shakespeare. It's a PG, if you're taking little kids there's a few bloodies and buggers in it, swordfighting, knives, bit of death.

Funny film, good gags and a few groaners hehe . Thumbs up.
I love Horrible Histories and Yonderland, very funny, very smart. I fancy watching this, I have no kids. biggrin

Love Point Blank. Disliked Payback when it foest came out, but I rather like it now, the blue toned film is a nice effect.
But Point Blank, Walker....I think I've seen a chat or a documentary on it, back in the days when C4 used to play decent films late at night and then talk about it, maybe it was Kermode, some great thoughts went into that film. The endless walking scene is memorable. I can recall that Marvin improvised the violent actions of the magnum to give it more force after the walking scene.

For some reason I thought there was a third version, in the 00s, but there wasn't.
Point Blank is an obvious iconic film, Payback is good, I didn't know there was a different version though.

"Helgeland in 2006 issued a director's cut that differs substantially from the version released by the studio."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Payback_%281999_film...
Don't read the rest of the article if wishing not to know the differences.

Orcs in the Hobbit aren't bred for war, they're just another race, a pretty weak one, but they have resilience above most humans. They fight best in their element, underground in the dark.

Not what Gandalf said "Not this time. Armies of Orcs are on the move. These are fighters, they have been bred for war. Our enemy has summoned his full strength."
I guess that's film Gandalf. But I also guess that a warrior society could be classed as being, 'bred' for war. They are hardy and goblin society is barbaric and warlike compared to most human society in Middle Earth.
