...that made you think, "there was no need for that!"

In The Cut - why, just why, do I need to see that!

Spartacus Blood & Sand(not a film I know) - graphic removal of gladiators manhood for acts of deception. God I winced.

Ha!

Cheers for the input guys.

Yes, I should have made it clear from the outset that I am not looking for an easy way to find dirty films, plenty of those on the net.

And, yes, I did mean mainstream.

In The Cut was shocking as wife and me did not know what to expect.

So when, within the first 10 minutes, Meg Ryan is peeking through a doorway and we get a close-up of an erect penis actually being sucked off, needless to say we were pretty speechless.

The guy in Blockbuster certainly did not tell me about that bit when he was describing its merits. Although he did have a certain 'glint' in his eye.....

'A Serbian Film' is the most messed up thing I've seen. Very very hard to watch, especially a certain seen involving.... I can't bring myself to type it on here. but read the plot on wiki

Makes Irreversible look like a disney film about family planning.

Given 3 out of 5 stars by Empire this week!

I've seen that too and I don't consider it an arthouse film as some people (namely the director) do. Given that the two actresses were already porn stars it is basically a porn film dressed up with slightly more plot. Terrible movie.
So quite an overly explicit film then...
Sure, but I think the OP meant for there to be an element of mainstream in this, as in how much can they get away with and keep it mainstream popular. At least by my interpretation.
Yes.

I was aiming for either "Hmm, this sounds good....<insertdisc>...OH MY DEAR GOD!" or "I know this has a reputation, let's try it.....hmm. Was not expecting that."
