fred stripped of his knighthood
Discussion
Good, he's a and an arrogant as well.
Little bro works for RBS. The staff were telling the board something wasn't adding up prior to it all going wrong. He wouldn't listen and essentially finished peoples careers that questioned him.
While not totally responsible, he has had a big hand in the financial mess GB PLC is in.
It's all very well playing the jealousy card, but people like him are happy to take the huge rewards and seem to be able to side step any fall out if things go wrong. People have lost jobs, houses and have had big holes put in their pensions as a direct and indirect result of his actions. He should have his pension taken off him too, that might make other captains of industry think a little more carefully about how they run businesses.

Good.
Of all the dreadful and appalling decisions made by New Labour en masse when the reality of the mishandling of the UK economy and the Banking sector became apparent in the 2007++ period the agreement of a huge pension for Fred Goodwin and a Knighthood was the worst example.
IMO directors and senior figures in this Bank should have been prosecuted for corporate fraud.
It is to the everlasting shame of the slitherers of New Labour that they were not pursued.

Funny that when RBS kept anouncing record profits prior to the bust you didnt hear the shareholders saying Calm down Fred lets get back to traditional lending and give us a smaller dividend. Shareholders were as greedy as the bosses when the money was rolling in. The first time as a young lad when I bought shares the bank manager told me Shares can come down just as easily as they can go up.
He gets a £650k Pension for life.
No doubt he has property all over the place and a huge portfollio of investments and cash coming out of his arse.
I think he also went into another job with no doubt a huge sallary.
Not one fk was given by him today.
In fact e can now probably get some sympathy and people will now start to leave him alone.
