3P fuel duty rise cancelled
Discussion
Well, the price at the pump has slipped recently so I don't see any reason any retailer would just put it up by thrupence on the basis some of the more informed motorists were expecting it to go up by that amount anyway.
I'd imagine market forces would keep things as they otherwise would have been.

according to the bbc website. Good news, but whats the betting supermarkets will take the opportunity to put it up a bit instead.
Unlikely, considering that they seem to be trying a minor price-war. Asda reduced their prices to 127.7 for petrol today.![bounce](/inc/images/bounce.gif)

I consider it to be a government not afraid to listen to it's electorate and adapt/reassess policy.
Surely better than a government that bounds on regardless?
It's as "real" news as any other news on any given day.
Every day we have a government or opposition pronouncements. Indeed, there is something lacking in my day if I don't get my daily "bulls
t broadcast".
So far this week we've had -
Milliband on immigration
Cameron on benefits
Gove on education
Osborne on fuel escalator
It must be the Lib Dem's turn tomorrow - surely.
