Ten days ago, I turned our car round in a tight spot... There was a stationary car parked close by. The turn took five or seven points and I was aware that at one point the bumpers of the two cars touched.
...until I was contacted the following Wednesday, I had no awareness at all that there had been any damage to the other car.
So if you know you've hit the other car why the fk don't you get your fat ass out of the car and check you absolute grade A ...until I was contacted the following Wednesday, I had no awareness at all that there had been any damage to the other car.
I don't buy for a second that he "had no awareness" there might be any damage; he thought he'd chance it and get away, like every other fker who drives into somebodies pride-and-job at the supermarket and makes a quick escape.

No more adept at driving the car than he is the economy. This guy is just uber inept. He has haplessness and gormlessness etched all over him.
Also, joking apart regarding his generally appalling level of utility, he said he knew he had made contact. As such he was under a duty to stop, get out and check for damage. No excuses Ballsup it's a fkup.turbobloke said:

Exactly. If you hit a parked car, if you have anything about you, you get out, check for damage and if so leave your contact details and sort ot out through the insurance.
The truth is he fked off because he thought he could get away with it.
To some this may seem a non story but does this not prove he is dishonest and see's himself above Joe public?
I always love these bits "Failing to stop at the scene of an accident carries a maximum penalty of six months in prison or a £5,000 fine and up to 10 penalty points."
In reality it will be a slap wrist and a "don't do it again" - case dropped. Anyone else and would be a hefty fine and public hanging.

Though I would never do it, I can just about understand how an individual might think, 'it was only gentle, probably no damage, I'll just drive off'
But I can't understand why he didn't think:
'There's a tiny chance there may be some damage, if there is and I just drive off, as the Shadow Chancellor, with ambitions to one day be Prime Minister, it could be very bad for me if I just drive off and there is. Should probably get out and check'

I'd label him a toad but that would be most unfair to toads.

You have to hit a car pretty hard to cause enough damage to contact your insurance don't you? Certainly enough to make you notice.
I would say no based on this mornings events, a Q3 revered (as he was coming out a space) into my mothers parked up bmw and now she has a nice hex shaped grid embedded in her rear bumper, its actually made a hex pattern in the plastic. Who knows how much that will cost to repair. He was going hardly any speed at all..Morningside said:

Seen it quite a few times here on PH that someone has reported a hit and run to the police only to be told they don't bother investigating unless someone has been hurt.In reality it will be a slap wrist and a "don't do it again" - case dropped. Anyone else and would be a hefty fine and public hanging.
